On January 28-29, 2010, the Ozark mountains were on the receiving end of a major winter storm. The event began as freezing rain and sleet late in the day on the 28th before changing to all snow. Heavy snow fell across the northern part of AR on the 29th, with some areas receiving their highest snow totals in 20 years or more!
