Had a lot of firsts in Lubbock Texas!! First time I ever flew in an airplane was to Lubbock Texas in the early 80's.  It was a dual purpose trip.... Women's State Bowling Tournament AND to watch the UT baseball team play Texas Tech.  It was also the first time I'd ever seen a baseball infield dried out with flame throwers! And also the first time I'd ever seen a telephone in the bathroom (Lubbock Inn)!!  Feedback from David Drummond: Lubbock actually ain't a bad place. Things have been pretty stable around here despite the rest of the country being in recession.
