Tropical Storm Beryl is recurving and accelerating to the northeast as a trough in eastern Canada picks up this weakening storm.  Beryl is the second tropical cyclone of the 2006 season, which has started very slowly despite predictions of an active season comparable to 2005.  A tropical storm warning has been issued for Cape Cod of Massachusetts, but it appears that Beryl will only graze this area with short-lived heavy rain and gusty winds.  A satellite image and forecast track map are displayed below, courtesy of the National Hurricane Center.  Meanwhile, Reed and Joel are closely monitoring the tropics, and are anxious for an intense hurricane intercept anywhere in the Caribbean.
