Here are the highlight videos for the last three chases: March 30 (Western OK), March 31 (Southeast OK), and April 3 (Northwest TX), 2007. Several tornado-warned supercells are featured in these videos, along with destructive hail in each. Very different from last year...we have not yet seen a tornado! Next week looks huge.

It is definitely a year for hail so far. Maybe Monday can get some tornado action for us here in OK.
that storm yesterday did have rotation on it for a while. right when you guys intercepted the wall cloud. But i guess the rotation was not tight enough nor strong enough. Good fotage of the hail though.
On the last video, at the around the 2:10 mark, we got: dwarf American toad, spring pepper, western (or upland?) chorus frog, gray tree frog.
:D
Hail is fun to see. but it smashes cars, In my area the auto body shops are shot staffed from the oil boom and can not handle a hail storm.
Thus if the car i drive gets hit by monster hail then it could be the end of the summer before it gets fixed.
So hail is nice as long as my only way of independence gets taken out for the rest of the summer, my instinct is to find a gas station as soon and as quickly as possible.
Yeah I have been on 5 chases this year and still no tornado. Don't feel bad Reed it's been rough for everyone. Next week could break this curse.
you guys are crazy running out in that hail, but yet, it makes you all so awesome :D
I'm on the fringe of the latest 3 day. They said there is uncertainty in my area of Texas, so we will see. Mondays don't really work as chase days for me anyways unless it's really close by.
"Will you shut that thing off please!?" haha
well good morning anyway, but may i suggest this site?
http://www.camstreams.com/ they have chat enabled and increases you bandwidth for free...
Hey Reed,
Just shake it off man, my dad and I are 0/4 too. This season is just going like a "normal" season. So I'd hang in there till May and June when the real action starts! Next week though could turn things around!!!
The last 2 years I've witnessed tornados by the end of March and so far I've seen 0 as well.
Wow! I wonder what your truck looks like after that kind of shower... lol Next time, bring an "armor" to go outside! The sound of this uge hail falling is crazy! What size is the bigger you got??
Reed,
You should get your Tahoe covered with Rhino Lining! It is the spray in bed liner that stands up to just about everything. I have seen a few vehicles with this done and it comes in almost all colors to match auto manufacturer paint. It would add a lot of weight but would greatly minimize hail dents if not protect it completely!
I hope we get massive hail like that this summer! I haven't seen a big hailstorm in 4 years!
On the other hand...Just when I thought winter was over...we got a surprise snowfall of 10-15 cm and now everything is covered again. When will this ever end!! :(
It's still snowing like blizzard ish conditions. visibility is down to i'd say less than 1 km.
Wow guys, that was some insane hail! I've never seen hail that big (biggest I've seen is .25-.75 inch), the sound was incredible!
I never thought of Rhino Lining for a whole car. Anyone have a link to someone who's done it?
Here is a link to a Dodge Truck that has had the body Rhino Lined.

Breaking News this just in: Sean Casey has just handed the keys to the TIV to Reed Timmer and Joel Taylor of the TVN team, and Sean is quoted as saying "Have fun, and git er done"
Hahahahaha not really...but that would be awesome.
LOL@ Ben
Thanks Jason :)
Hmmm... I think I found out what I want for a chasing car now lol. A nice Pickup with Rhino lining (or something similar) and some plexi-glass or bullet-proof glass windows lol.
That's awesome, Jason...if that spray was rubberized would it protect them from lightning too? lol
Great idea Jason...but it might already be too late! The hood is covered with massive dents. But the more the better. We'll probably have to get another wind shield if we run into more hail.
Ahh, the joys of running into large hail... our insurance companies must love us. haha.
I've also found it odd that there hasn't been many storms in KS-OK area... I'm still waiting on a good storm to come, dump incongruous amounts of rain, maybe some hail, and a decent bow echo. That will make my day ;)
Who is the person who does most of the talking in the films? Hella funny.
Please post more videos like this even when you don't find a tornado.
Smudge, It's Reed actually...HE DOMINATES!
