A tornado watch has been issued for extreme Southeast Texas and Central LA, MS, and AL until 6:00 pm CDT this evening, as a strong squall line surges southeastward through the region today. With ample instability and a low-level jet of 30-40 knots, tornadoes will be possible with any discrete storms that can develop ahead or within the line. As daytime heating continues, the warm sector ahead of the line currently over northern LA will destabilize and become uncapped, allowing for supercells to develop out ahead of the MCS. If this occurs, the tornado threat will be enhanced significantly.

I think this could line up to be a great day of chasing....especially if that warm sector gets going early this afternoon. Hey Reed.....You chasing this thing?? Good Luck to all from O-H-I-O. (NIT Champs!!)
Only thing bad about Bama is all the trees makes visibility tough!
Oh yeah the Bucks finally won something, my boy Turner and Koufous, and Butler and a great game.
OH
Hi Reed,
everything allright? Your new live streaming is really nice, but may you remove the autoplay function so that one can start the chase cam of interest manually?
And a secound wish: can you please check the compatibility of your streaming video with the newest Firefox browser (stable release)? It crashes the fox (at least with mine) and so I need to use the IE (ugh!).
Please allow me one last remark ;-). Yesterday I followed your chase on your live GPS tracker. When it was zoomed in the radar image was erroneous, so I had to zoom out to see the correct one with the right intensity display.
Your improvements are fantastic, but maybe you can fix some of these issues.
Greetings from Germany, Volker
HMMMMM 0-1 km SRH (m2/s2) has a lot of wind sheer!!!! Today I think we have a better threat of tornadoes. I do have some flood pis I'm about to upload them.
Thanks for your suggestions Volker.
We're trying to work out the firefox issue... We have a solution but it may take a little while to implement.
We also have a new tracker version coming out in time for Monday's chase.
Wait until you see what we have coming next!
Ok I have them now.

any live feed?
How about you guys stop spamming TV.net and Stormtrack? KTHXBYE.
I just saved the radar image and created a 3D image for the tornado warned cell in Alabama from GR2Analyst. You can deffinately see a "hose" in the 3D image and the couplet on the radar image. I tried to post them to the forum but I received an error. I can forward them to anyone who would like to take a look and see what you think!
I may still be learning about the details of weather, but I'd like to see that, Jason!
I will keep trying to post the images. I am still getting an error!
My bro's county is under a tornado warning that would be Shelby in Alabama. They let out school and all that still gun shy from Enterprise. Keep you updated.
I found Live feed http://nbc13.com/gulfcoastwest/vtm/news/live_video.html There saying the squall line may becoming a dereaco!
Looks like they just put up a watch in GA as well, we are under a watch in Gwinnett County right now. Lots of potential cells building to the west.
Here are the links to the Alabama Radar and 3D image. Tell me if you see the "hose" and if you think it is a tornado!

There's a nice looking cell developing Southwest of downtown Atlanta now, they just but up a Severe T-storm warning with it and it's heading straight for downtown. Looks like it's starting to get some real nice deep convection in the middle. Might be one to watch. A few others developing SW of it as well.
Storms starting to move into my area, nothing serious, most of the nasty stuff is still to the SW side of town. The line moving through Birmingham right now looks really impressive, if it manages to hold together might pose some problems later tonight.

Reed, let me take a few guesses. Are you going to have your own tornado intercept vehicle for the show "storm chasers" on discovery chanel? That would be awesome. And now that your part of their show, you going to have a camara crew follow you around?
next week looks killer!
