There are significant differences between this morning's NAM and RUC model runs, especially in terms of the location of the primary surface boundaries (dryline, cold/then-warm front), and timing of convective initiation this evening. The NAM is forecasting the cold front to sag south to near I-40 by 00z this evening, with ~2000-2500 J/kg and little CIN prevailing to the south, but delays convective initiation until after 00z. The 13z RUC on the other hand, maintains a more SSW to NNE orientation of the cold front stretching from Woodward, OK to just north of Childress, TX. The RUC also is predicting much higher CAPE values by 00z approaching the 4000 J/kg range, with convective initiation throughout western OK between 21 and 00z! This solution is believable considering the quality of moisture over the Southern Plains this morning, and the fact that the front is surging southward primarily in the Texas Panhandle, but not further east. We'll definitely be chasing this event...our target is western OK near 00z -- the brand new tracker will be up and running in an hour or so...we've fixed our data connection problems and the tracker updates every few seconds. Stay tuned for updates, and check out the forum for Nowcasting and Reports over the next few days (Monday looks like the apocalypse).

Thats a pretty widespread target you got there..."Western Oklahoma."
Any general thoughts as to where the action may be tomorrow? Also, what time period are you looking at for today? Will be chasing via the web, as I am sitting here in K.C!!!
"Western OK" is my current target as the models have not firgure it out yet. I will be planning om making my way toward Elk City area around 2 to 3 is my plan. That way I can go north or south as the day begins to pan out.
Good luck all of you guys!!
Indeed, bring us back some good ones!
Look's cloud cover is clearing in wc oklahoma , just started misting here in sc oklahoma . I am starting to feel tomarrow is going to be a wild day or a call in and chase day . lol. Where is Reed going anyone know?
The winds will back in western OK!!!!
Good call Wes...i would say elk city or maybe just south of there.....good luck to all and stay safe out there.....btw did u guys stick a gps locater in with the cam...cuz u might not get it back it u do get a groundscrubber
Tracker is working! :D
Indeed, or at least it was... now they're disconected and on a road that isn't on the map lol.
Just a suggestion for the new tracker, could you make it so that it wouldn't reset the zoom level? it makes it kinda hard to see anything when the zoom resets to ground level every 3-5 seconds ;)
dew point's around 70 from Norman to Ardmore, Where is the dry line when you need it lol. Reed out and about yet?
The new tracker is up and running!! updating every few seconds. We definitely won't have issues with data today either. Alltel is the way to go.
We're currently heading west on I-40 monitoring the cu to our southwest.

Now everything is fine with the tracker. Zooming works and there is no more reset.
But I'm out now, it's pretty late here.
Hey, how's everyone been? I haven't been on here in a while! But don't worry, now that things seem to be starting up again here in Texas I'll be on here plenty.
Good luck chasing everyone! Wish I could be out there...

David Drummond is streaming Live High Quality Video...he is the fourth one down.
Wow.. the Live ChaseCam network has Roger Hill and David Drummond. Looks like these guys are really doing something nice for the chaser community, can't believe they are offering free streaming services through their website.
It is AWESOME that all those feeds are on SevereStudios.com website all at one time.
The cell just north of New Cordell needs to be tor warned right now. Took a major right turn a couple of minutes ago.
On the chillier side of things, a stationary cell of moisture has brought about 2-3 inches of snow in the past few hours View radar, Medicine Hat, Alberta. There is little indication that the snow will taper off in the next couple hours.
OKC, get ready!
Once again...incredible supercell...no tornado.
We saw golfball to tennis ball size hail which intense. several small occlusions but the overall structure was incredible
That stinks Reed, but it's looking like there may be another good one later this week.
Can someone explain why there isn't a Slight risk over at least wester TN? I was looking at the models and it looks to me like we have at least a small chance of some strong/severe storms at around 24-36hrs... What do you guys think?
That entire storm was rotating, not as impressive as the "Oklahoma Hurricane" but still pretty darned impressive!
