Check out these pictures of major flash flooding in the Ozark Mountains of Sharp Co, AR, courtesy of Heidi Farrar. The Spring and White Rivers are setting record water levels today, with the Spring river reaching 22 feet this morning, shattering the old record of 16 feet on 9-23-06. This flooding resulted from 8 inches of rain that fall during this recent storm system. Thanks to heidi for providing this info and pictures.

Heidi, were you on a boat in the first picture?? lol
Nice pictures Heidi! I hope you're a good swimmer! hahaha
Wow Heidi, that's a lot of water. Great pics though!
I hate spring. I live less than 100ft from a creek-few weeks ago it looked like that. Makes me sick to my stomach. I hope it goes down within the next few days. You take great pictures, Heidi. Hope things get better-quick!
I wanted to make sure everyone knows that I was on a bridge in that third photo; the water was 8" from the bridge deck at the time. The first photo is a perfect example of what a "low water bridge" looks like when flood waters are in control. DO NOT DRIVE THROUGH THESE AREAS!!!!!! One person died in the county just south of here (Stone Co., AR) trying to do just that!
((Oh, and these photos actually came from Izard Co., less than a mile from my house. But the major, HISTORICAL river flooding is taking place on the Spring River in Sharp Co., as well as on the White River in Izard & Independence Co. www.kait8.com has more on the flooding in northeast AR.))
- Hope everyone remembered to vote! :D
My Word! Arkansas just isn't getting a break this season!
tis looks bad HOPE YOU ALL R ALRIGHT OVER THIRE
