Numerous tornado warnings have been issued for supercell thunderstorms in central MO and also for cells moving out of northeast MO into western IL. A large unstable and uncapped airmass currently exists from Oklahoma to northern Illinois, with 0-1 km helicity values greater than 200. Tornadoes will be likely with any of these storms if they can remain discrete for even a short period of time. The SPC has issued two tornado watches already this afternoon for MO and IL:

The huge uncapped warm sector can be seen below in the 2000 UTC RUC analysis for CAPE and CIN. Low-level shear has been increasing dramatically over the last few hours, with 0-1 km helicity values approaching 300 m2/s2 in western Illinois! Given this very large unstable and uncapped warm sector, I would not be surprised to see some damaging tornadoes this evening and overnight across MO and central/northern IL, and possibly in AR overnight.
As I write this, tornado warnings have been issued as far north as south-central Wisconsin with more than 10 tornado warnings in effect.

SevereStudios.com has a chaser in the field. Don't know if there live chase cam is working or not thought. I would check there first, otherwise, i dont know if any other chasers are in the field.
sound like a weadge on the ground
AAAAHH!! Hope there wasn't any damage in Ashland. Dick M. has his live streaming video, but I don't think it's working right now... tornadolive.com/stream.html.
That cell in WI looks to hit Racine if it stays on track... :( Not good.
This sounds very not good:
THIS IS AN EXTREMELY DANGEROUS AND LIFE THREATENING SITUATION. THIS
STORM IS CAPABLE OF PRODUCING STRONG TORNADOES AND MAY THREATEN
LARGE POPULATED AREAS SUCH AS RACINE! IF YOU ARE IN THE PATH OF THIS
TORNADO...TAKE COVER IMMEDIATELY!
HEAVY RAINFALL MAY OBSCURE THIS TORNADO. TAKE COVER NOW! IF YOU WAIT
TO SEE OR HEAR IT COMING...IT MAY BE TOO LATE TO GET TO A SAFE PLACE.
i was expecting a few strong/violent tornados today- i just wasn't expecting them this far north
also 3 tw out one in southern part of this state were talkin about
Same here Donny... also wasn't expecting them to develop as early as they did. If it's a wedge that partly rain-wrapped.... Racine better have a hair trigger on the tornado sirens.
what state are we talkin about missouri
from radar looks like storm south of racine
nvm i was lookin at diffrent racine lol
A Tornado Warning remains in effect until 445 PM CST for
eastern Kenosha and eastern Racine counties...
At 431 PM CST... spotters reported damage falling from the sky 4
miles northwest of Sturtevant. Doppler radar continued to track a
tornado near Sturtevant... moving northeast at 55 mph.
Another strengthening storm was located just north of Kenosha
Airport... with another tornado possible in northeast Kenosha County.
The tornado will be near...
North Bay and Wind Point by 440 PM CST...
This is an extremely dangerous and life threatening situation. This
storm is capable of producing strong to violent tornadoes. If you are
in the path of this tornado... take cover immediately!
probably aj
Crap. I'm out of the game for this here in Ames in Central Iowa; dense fog advisories are out for both south of here along 35 and east along 80, and I'm not going to get into THAT, especially with the sun setting.
So with my new Sony cam and laptop ready to go, I'm just gonna have to be content sitting here munching on a pizza and going back and forth between this and seeing whether everyone's okay. Good luck and stay safe.
Ok, now I'm starting to worry. It's only 9 miles SE of downtown Racine, moving to the NE rather quickly... they better start considering a tornado emergency... :(
a few of my friends like in racine- and downtown racine just took a direct hit- i dont feel so good
AAAAAAAAAHH! So now the Racine Co. warning has been cancelled, it moved onto the lake! Now we have a huge waterspout! alasfjhsdf
Uh oh.... storm reports just came in... :(:(

Eekk i am looking on that spotter network website...it shows where the tornadoes are right now. SO scary, I thank god I dont live down there. I'll try get through to my friend who lives in Whiting/Chicago maybe?...see if she heard anything about whats going on in IL
Wow thats a vicious cell heading into Illiinois toward Springfield
Yeah... so does the one NE of Montgomery City, MO. It's got a TVS on it. Fortunately, it'll be mainly effect rural areas.
aj your not talking about the cell near monett missouri are you- cause thats a classic looking supercell
NOT a good afternoon to update Virus Scan! AND NOT a good afternoon to be waiting for a home remodeling/demonstration person to show up ... who DOESN'T SHOW UP!!!
That storm sw of Springfield does look nasty.
Arrgh! I must be getting tired, that's it Donny. lol. I'll be back in a bit, have to go get dinner...
New tornado watch issued for OK, AR, and MO
Heidi, get your camera out and get us some lightning shots.
Strike, I wish ... this stuff is all off to the NW. I'm about 3 counties to the east of it. :-/ I am hoping for some lightning shots later, but it looks like maybe the worst of this is not going to get here until after daylight tomorrow, anyway.
wow, I knew there was a reason I was watching those two cells in MO/IL they are looking SWEET right now.
