YES Reed is going to do a show with... TORNADOES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG that quality is amazing!!! woow!
I haven't checked it out yet but it sounds awesome. I don't have a very fast connection speed so hopefully that isn't that huge of an issue. I can watch movies "instantly" on NetFlix, so this ought to be similar I guess. It just takes forever to buffer! ... In any case, nice going. I still think this year's TV.net highlight video will be hard to beat! :D
Great Job Reed to stay on the technology edge and sharing information :)
Would someone copy-paste the URL so i can watch?
Hi Joe! I'm just back from work and that's what I'm doing...watching for this storms! Sky is looking impressive but so beautiful!
Nice, Reed!! Love your videos as always!!

For those who know Eric Nguyen... Very sad and tragic news...
http://stormtrack.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13653
He was one of the best storm photographer I knew...
Heavy rain with lightnings here!
WOW I don't even want to think about the same thing happend to Reed Joel or Jason
:(
Wow! It's falling like snow !
wow those programs you guys (reed, joel, dave) made trully the work of pro's and great editing too rusty and philip I couldn't have done it better myself ;) just kiddn.
and that music is awesome with these clips Xihilisk. you see this face :) its a happy face! im gonna watch it again...
Yeah... sad to hear about Mr. Nguyen. His family is in hell right now, and they have my condolences.
It's clear and sunny here... grr. I need a change!
Nice sales pitch, Cors! :-P
haha. Cors, the resident advertising salesman ;)
I was actually a little surprised that no one had mentioned Eric's passing until now. Our chief meteorologist had a thing about him on his blog last evening - that's how I first heard about it. Then I read the tributes on the Stormtrack forum. I didn't know him, so I didn't want to bring the subject up on this site, but it's obviously a huge loss for everyone who did know him, as well as the entire weather community.
Heidi, you're a meteo.? Wow, I didn't know that. lol
Sqall-line possable!
STRONGLY-FORCED NARROW COLD-FRONTAL RAINBAND WITH EMBEDDED
LOW-TOPPED TSTMS WILL CONTINUE TO MOVE EAST AROUND 20KT WITH ENEWD
CELL MOTION IN THE 40-50KT RANGE THIS EVENING. LOW INSTABILITY
ENVIRONMENT /ESTIMATED MUCAPE VALUES WELL UNDER 500 J PER KG/ WAS
BEING OFFSET BY STRONG DYNAMIC FORCING FOR ASCENT WITHIN THE NOSE OF
INTENSIFYING CYCLONIC 80-90KT MID LEVEL JET. STRONGER SURFACE- BASED
CONVECTIVE ELEMENTS IN THE LINE HAVE SHOWN BRIEF VELOCITY COUPLETS
AND REAR-INFLOW NOTCHES THAT COULD BE ASSOCIATED WITH ENHANCED
ISOLATED DAMAGING WIND POTENTIAL. LIGHTNING...REFLECTIVITY...AND IR
CLOUD TOP TEMPERATURES ALL SUGGEST LITTLE RECENT CHANGE IN THE
INTENSITY OF THE CONVECTION WITHIN THE LINE. HOWEVER...A GRADUAL
DECREASE IN STORM INTENSITY IS LIKELY OVER THE NEXT FEW HOURS GIVEN
TIME OF DAY AND THIS APPEARS TO BE FURTHER SUPPORT BY HIGH-RES WRF
OUTPUT.
Ooohh, cool Caleb ;).
Gotta go, be back later.
I knew Eric really well from OU and through storm chasing. One common interest we had was his obsession with large hail! Definitely one of the nicest guys I've ever met...Very sad and tragic news this weekend. The Stormtrack thread concerning Eric is below.
http://www.stormtrack.org/forum/showthread.php?t=13653
A hell of a photographer, he will be missed...
How did he die a peice of dibries? So sad
:(
AJ, just to clear up any confusion, I am NOT a meteorologist! :-D I am a Weather Watcher for KAIT-8 Jonesboro. Here's a link:
http://www.kait8.com/Global/category.asp?C=98226
The photo of me on there is tiny and old, FYI.
K-8's chief whom I was referring to, Ryan Vaughan, has a pretty fun blog that I frequent, and sometimes get carried away with my comments, but he lets me. :D

When you put the word "tornado" into Google and hit return, the first photo that comes up was taken by Eric Nguyen (click name ^). That shows how successful and widespread he was.
(The first time I saw that particular photo was on another website, where someone had captioned it, "The World's First Gay Tornado," which is pretty funny when you look at it again.)
He sure accomplished a lot by the age of 29.
Hi guys! I'm back from the pool! Nothing new???
It rained today while i was at work. And the funny part was i called it before it happened without looking at radar.
storms are gone...only calm rain remains.
Is there anybody out there??
Ya im still here.
Caleb, it was not debris. Unfortunately, he killed himself. I had only recently gotten interested in Eric's photos, and I have to say I'm shocked to hear all this.
I'm surprised I haven't seen it in the news, considering how close I am. I read he was hospitalized in Arlington, just a short drive from my house.
I am very sorry to learn about Eric Nguyen passing away over the weekend. From what I read in the http://www.stormtrack.org thread and what Reed posted earlier at 7:15, he sounds like a great person and will be missed in the storm chasing community. I recently discovered Eric’s photography (through his website) earlier this year. Eric is a great photographer. My thoughts and prayers are with him, his family, and friends. Eric is in a better place!
Reed, congratulations on TornadoVideos.net on Joost.com! I have never heard of Joost.com until today. This sounds very interesting.
Congrats Reed! I'm curently at school so see ya.

AN INDIAN-OCEAN-WIDE TSUNAMI WATCH IS IN EFFECT!!!
jeez!! i hope that isnt to bad cors
Hey Reed...what do you think about this new TD in the Eastern Atlantic? I saw the track makes it look like it could either hit the florida area or could squeak into the gulf and hit Texas or LA. Obviously it is very far away but do you anticipate this growing into a full-fledged hurricane? and if so, do you think that there will be anything like high-pressure systems confining it to stay south? So what I am really saying is do u think it's gonna hit within 15 hrs of Norman? Obviously it's very very early to figure this one out.
For those who like to play with your GR programs, you can go to either the KCRP or KHGX radar in Texas, select the CR248 product, click the Start Archiver button, wait ~60 seconds for the scans to load, then hit PLAY and watch Tropical Depression Nine rotating around.

Looks pretty good, dosen't it?!
;)
Here it is:

Good idea, Joe. And Sam beat me to the TS posting. I am so offended. :-D
Hey guys hows the weather where u r?
It is beautiful (but boring) where i am.
This Afternoon: Sunny, with a high near 77. West wind around 10 mph.
Tonight: Clear, with a low around 59. Northwest wind around 5 mph becoming calm.
Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 78. North wind at 5 mph becoming southeast.
Thursday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 62. South wind between 6 and 9 mph.

That's the forecast where I am (Baltimore).
srry, Heidi
;)
lol
Hey guys, I'll be back later!
:)
Joost looks very cool! Can't seem to get it to load any movies right now, it said to try again later...
Hey every1, I'll still check on this blog, but I think it would be a good idea to move over to the most recent blog (It's pretty recent beacuse there's only2 comments on it).
The 1 about the "TD" heading toward Houston.
;)
Oh, and by the way i'm not trying to be bossy or anything.
;)
I downloaded the Joost thing today and it's pretty awesome! I can see why Cors was so excited about it yesterday! It does take FOREVER to buffer on my machine because of slow connection speed, but I just find other stuff to do while its loading. There's a lot of never-before-seen footage on Twister Insanity. I won't mention anything specific, but it's easy to see why Reed is usually NOT the driver! :-D I haven't had a chance to see the other one yet though. The quality is amazing - a lot better than what NetFlix has on their instant viewing thing.
