Nasty here in Fairfield Co Ohio this evening with a big thunderstorm that had winds of 63mph and penny to nickle size hail. Needless to say trees are down and some power outages due to the lightning which was intense. Picked up .63in of rain which was sorely needed.
Have fun in Ok saw one place had 2 tornadoes oh to be in the Plains.

This was one wild storm. Think it dropped almost a dozen short-lived twisters according to KWTV9, one of which almost nailed one of thier storm spotters.

Nice talking with you guys!

That supercell north of Geary nearly produced...it had textbook structure with a large clear slot, and rapid cascading motion on the west side of the wall cloud. I'll post video shortly.

The tornadoes in Major County are the first large tornadoes I am aware of with 700 mb flow below 20 knots!! A tornado researcher friend of mine stated that the last tornado with 700 mb flow this weak was near Throckmorton, TX in 1984.

Tornado on the ground in Major Co, OK!!! Comment Posted By Ez | June 14, 2007 @ 1:18 AM #

I was up by the tornadoes but unfortunately couldnt get to the good stuff cuz my window is cracked from a kansas hail storm and i did not want to get trapped in bad hail and have it shatter. I ended up going to mooreland and I saw wall clouds with lowerings and there was even good circulation right over my head but it didnt produce anything...is there any particular reason why the cell 40 mi eastward did and this didnt?
