I found this picture of the Divide Co., ND tornado from the KFYR-Bismark website. This picture was taken by Jerry Walter of Noonan, ND, and shows the tornado as it was 10-12 miles south of Crosby, ND. You can see that the cloud bases were EXTREMELY high today (6-11-07) in northwest ND!

Good job!
someone lemme know what they think about western OK on wednesday...spc just changed their forecast and gave a slight probability??? what do you guys think---(esp. Reed)
EZ: The low-level shear is forecast to be extremely weak over western OK on Wed...ahead of a surging cold front. The deep-layer shear looks to be sufficient for supercells, but I'd say the tornado threat will be minimal, and the storms will likely be continuously undercut by the front.
There could be some supercells tomorrow from the TX Panhandle north to SD...but the greatest risk will be in Manitoba.
The models can still change!
yeah they tend to do so alot! it looks like central ok would be projected under the gun if the thursday projection stays...but im guessing it will change. where do you find the projected shear values?
The COD site is a good website to find model forecast shear (i.e. 0-1 km helicity, 0-3 km helicity, 850 mb flow, etc.).

wxcaster.com also has even more detailed forecast maps....including the ability to plot forecast hodographs and soundings.
www.rap.ucar.edu/weather/model is good if only interested in 0-3 km, and is a better site for the general view in my opinion
