A severe thunderstorm watch was just issued for central/eastern OK and western AR this afternoon and evening until 9:00 pm CDT, with very large hail and strong straight-line winds the main threats. Hail up to 2.5 inches in diameter is possible with the strongest storms. There may be enough shear for some brief supercells...I'll definitely be chasing any storms close to Norman that could produce some good lightning shots.

Extreme Instability today! Expecting to see explosive development to my east sitting here in Vici.
Reed: 44 Holder: 12 in NCAA football Matt last night.
There looks to be a few imbedded supercells in western AR right now; a cell in Searcy Co. has had 2.5"-3.5" hail within the last half-hour, and several cells have had mesos indicated on GR3. It's all headed my way, but not sure if the system will hold together enough to have as high of severe chances. I'm one county east of the watch box right now.
I'm watching the cell in Searcy County...I got some pictures but they are not very good. I'll try to get some better ones.
What are mesos?
Hey. I'm currently under a Tornado Watch, and severe storms are moving into the Winnipeg Vicinity. I took some pics of the really dark clouds coming in. I cannot wait for the storm!
I've been tracking the system looks nasty. Remember take shelter right away if a twister approaches as soon as you lose respect for mother nature thats when she turns on you.
P.S.
new system headed into Southern Manitoba and Sask looks like a supercell.
They have NCAA football in Oklahoma?
Looks like I'll be able to bring my Spartan dominance along with oral hygiene and shoes that aren't cowboy boots to you hillbillies.
