Joel and I shot this video of a huge wedge in Stafford Co., KS at around 8:00 pm. The tornado crossed the road within a 1/4 mile of our position. It appeared EXTREMELY violent.

As of late this evening, over 80 tornadoes have been reported in OK, KS and NE! This has been one of the most significant tornado outbreaks in several years. Sadly, it appears that several homes were damaged and people have lost their lives. Sweetwater and Sharon, OK sustained direct hits, along with a few towns in KS. Stay tuned for updates!

nice video!!
Fantastic video. I was up in the Great Bend area following the storms up there when this cell was reported in the Macksville/Dillwyn area. We could have come back south, but it would have meant either driving through the storm or trying to get around it and attack from the southeast.
Glad to see what I only heard about on the radio.
Amazing videos the last couple days.
fantastic videos guys. How long was that tornado on the ground for?
O my god, what monster!
Awsome video, I saw the big amount of tornado warnings yesterday/today very big outbreak.
And congratulations Reed and Joel for beeing on CNN news, really great man!!
Quite impressive gentleman. What's the scoop for today, besides lots of heavy rain?! Keep it up!
Awesome video guys what a outbreak...stay safe
You guys need to hog tie one of those sonbitches one of these days! I think you just got yourself a tv show timmer. The CNN anchors were falling out of their chairs. I think your days are numbered though if you keep it up. You are going to go the way of the crocodile hunter...maybe a tumbleweed to the scrotum.
Jesus Chriiiiiiist!
Wow, what a tornado, I was hoping as I was watching that it didn't hit any houses as it tore up the countryside. I think I did see some some debris from apparent structures near the end though. Over 80 reports of tornadoes, o_o - though I can believe it since I was watching the storms just roam all over the same areas as Friday, it seemed.
I imagine everyone will be out again today since there's already quite a few nasty storms including the big squall line. Good luck!
Did you see the size of the Supercell hovering over tornado Alley? It's monstrous! Tornado watch was just issued for part of East texas.
What a year so far! Very active! Cant wait to see video in HD!
Tornado Warning for Anthony, Kansas. The radar is deathly purple in that area! damn!
Nice video fellows glad you stayed safe as well. Everytime I turn on the tv or computer tornado warnings everywhere. This is rivaling the Super Outbreak of 74 in turn of numbers but I think that outbreak had 6 or 7 F5's including the Xenia Ohio tornado. Have fun again today. I'm out buckeye gerb.
You guys are going to need to take deposits on your '07 highlight video!
All I can say is what you were saying on the vid, OMG, OMG! WOWZa! You guys stay safe again today!
I am 3 for 3 in KS this year. I think I saw that monster you were on from a distance, at the time of that tornado I had a rope form on the front edge of the clear slot that could have hit me if I wasnt driving so slow then. Congrats on dominating KS again.

Since the tracker shows disconnected, is there another way to find Reed's position? I have a feeling he is also on Spotternetwork.org, using the "signal" WX9TVS. Could anyone with Reed confirm this? If we had another way of tracking him, this could help ease the traffic on this website.
I will try to get in touch with Reed to give some details on his position. Unfortunately, we are having some major server issues due to the load. We are working to try to fix it, thanks for the patience ;).
wow,that a huge tornado.awesome video.
Wow. Great footage guys. It appeared the funnel crossed the road, did it scour the pavement?
wow, my husband cant understand why people along with myself find tornados so awsome..not always awsome in a good way, just an amazing way. I've been facinated by tornados since i was a little girl and i've got to say that that was a great video...
Hi Reed and Joel. Great videos. I am new to this site. Been participating in the chat, and trying to help out as much as I can. Have fun.

This one went right by my house. We had 6 that came very close over the weekend. I compared it to playing Russian Roulette. Every time one passed us by, it was like the gun going "click". A truly adrenalin filled weekend.
If you guys ever need a place to crash, look me up.
