***A TORNADO EMERGENCY FOR GREAT BEND***

Reed on CNN Comment Posted By Gerb131 | May 5, 2007 @ 8:02 PM #

Looks like that cell near Sweetwater Ok means business. Wouldn't be suprised if it has a big tornado with it. This day and days will go down in history.

Reed on CNN Comment Posted By JY | May 5, 2007 @ 8:24 PM #

Reed just called....he just saw a 1/2 mile wide tornado from 200 yards. He said its incredible footage.
He had to go, I'm assuming to get on another storm.
He is going to call for more updates.

Wow, so many tornadoes all over the Great Plains and it's still going on. Bad part is that the forecasts are calling for severe storms to occur over the same areas that have been hit today and yesterday.

Also, apparently a funnel cloud was spotted from a non-violent thunderstorm near Lexington, KY. It never touched down, and the storm lost the supposed intensity before it passed over my area.

Will the video be on YouTube at some time in the future? I don't know if it's because I'm trying to download in Europe, but CNN videos for me only come in jerky single frames.

Reed on CNN Comment Posted By Nate | May 7, 2007 @ 1:25 PM #

In response to the CNN interview....it looks like The Weather Channel used the same footage for thier online video collection. Not sure if it is still there, I just saw it the other day but this website was down.
