Reed, that's awesome that you are going to be on those shows. I was on the news once, but not for anything cool like filming severe weather, but that's for another day. I'll TiVo the morning shows and maybe you can throw a shout out to your buddy from OU if you can. ha ha. I'm kidding.
Glad to see you guys made it back home in one piece. Luckily, the storms stayed about 150 miles east of us in Denver. Can't wait to see the videos.
What do you think the chances are for another tornado outbreak farther east today? (Thursday)
That was amazing!!! I don't think I've ever seen only part of a tronado lit up like that. Unreal! And shades of purple. Beautiful.
Yeah, that was definitely the footage they kept running on the weather channel. Fantastic footage, great job! You guys are BEASTS!
Oh.... my... goodness! That looks like one of the most beautiful tornadoes seen on the plains in quite some time. Congrats! AMAZING!
I just watched it 5 more times! I can't believe this :(
I hear ya, Matt. Sat here and watched it on radar....still makes me sick.
Congrats Joel and Reed...........absolutely amazing.
there it is! you got that video up fast, thanks!
Where's the video gone???? Says it's no longer available! Your'e kidding me right? Reed help me!
how is thurs. looking as far as severe weather? anything going to be in kansas or missouri? if so what parts and what times do you think?
Job well done guys!!!! We DOMINATED today!!!!! Still can't believe I saw that in person... WOW!!!!!!!
Great job guys! I was able to capture some baseball size hail here in central North Carolina yesterday. I'll have video up in a couple days.
Amazing! you guys rock!
NICE! I saw there were some tornado warnings in the Carolinas today! Looking forward to the video!
Time to get some sleep and get ready for today's chase!
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAa
Great job yesterday guys...way to get home safe also...it got pretty insane out there...awesome video though!!
I guess its ok to be loud and boistrous on video, but don't forget that some people are loosing their life as well as their childrens and spouses lives as your filming and as those of us are watching.
Awesome pictures! Hopefully no one got hurt!! The video won't appear on my computer...DAMMIT. It could possibly be my work computer...they block us from a lot of stuff here for security purproses...LOL
kind of lame reed need to be a little closer - BEN
Great video!!! That is some awesome footage you got there!!!Once again, it's good to see what happened last night on the ground, 'cause I watched the entire outbreak on radar, satelite, websites, etc-from when the first few stroms broke out in Northern Nebraska and Southern South Dakota, through to when those supercells ravaged Texas, well, and Oklahoma, Kansas, etc........Then, I watched, and followed the outbreak until some Texas storms formed a squall line that night! So, pretty much, I watched the entire event from 5:00 pm up to 2:30 am CDT! It was amazing! Your videos and pics make it 100x better! By the way, every once and a while I'd check the site again, and it said you were disconnected. Why? Well, bye!!! Are you going to chase the storms today? Hopefully, there will be more tornadoes, and no deaths! Well, gotta go, bye!!!
HAHA!
Benny...the real extreme footage remains behind closed doors!

Sorry! My computer is messing up!

looks like theres a small supercell forming over central texas. no tornado watches yet, just severe thunderstorm warnings...i've been watching the cloud formations on Nexrad radar and there's a tiny bit of rotation going on, could be nothing. good luck with the next chase!
is that storm in texas going to keep heading north east through out the day?
Oh, and nice work by whoever started to yell, "LARGE TORNADO ON --" and then caught himself. I imagine the usual screaming isn't really appreciated by network producers who would otherwise want to use the film.
Love what you guys do and I totally understand the excitement, but the screaming *is* kind of annoying at times.
Yeah we're usually at a 9...and we need to bring it back down to a 7 every now and then. That microphone on the FX1 is inanely sensitive.
Jonathan: Glad you like the site! I wish I could have watch that outbreak evolve on radar. It would have been incredible. But I'll be downloading the archived data here shortly. It definitely is sad hearing of the fatalities..it's too bad all the tornadoes could not occur in open country.
We're not liking today's setup as much. The tracker is disconnected...and we are waiting here in Norman for some interesting local storms. Our sights are definitely set on tomorrow....it could be huge somewhere in S TX.
Just saw your interview on MSNBC.com, nice job! I loved the anchor's line "Despite the fact that this is not a thrill game for you..." Yeah right!
Thanks to everyone for posting and I'm glad you're enjoying the site.
Like Reed said, today doesn't look as favorable for tornadoes, but tomorrow has pretty good potential south and east of Abilene, TX (subject to change).
Jonathan: sometimes when we get into extremely rural areas we lose internet connection so the tracker isn't able to update. You can bet though that if we were closing in on a storm when the tracker goes down that we are on the supercell.s We (mainly Reed) are working on ways to prevent this from happening in the future as well as bring more info to the people monitoring this site while we are out on the chase.
reed, is that storm that is moving ne out of texas, is it going to do anything?
Hey ya'll, so you're not coming after the NE cell today? I guess you best save your gasoline. Although, would be a shame if you missed anything. Congrats on your video and thanks for having it up so quickly!!
Amanda :)
Joel, Reed, I don't know how feasible it is because I'm not that familiar with the technology, but if you were able to put a web cam in the chase car and we could watch real time from the website, that would be phenominal. But I'm sure it falls into the issue you just mentioned above about the connectivity problems. Regarless, you guys have a great thing going here.
Couldn't find that MSNBC.com article?
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/12065856/
Again: amazing footage, you guys.
Well I found the MSNBC video at this insane URL:

But it's moving down the line quickly...
TVS just showed up outside of Wichata Falls!
LIFE CHANGING!! SERIOUSLY! That was awesome. I am speechless! Thanks you guys! Anytime you have an empty seat , call me!
Nice yelling during the footage! Reminds me of myself, Tom Green.
I was sensing a little s.e.x.u.a.l tension between Matt Laurer and the chasers.... was it real or misperceived?
HAHAHA!
MISPERCEIVED!
Where are you guys??? An F-4 tornado reported northwest Oklahoma City....250 mph winds!! Incredible
AWESOME job guys, wish I could be out there with ya! Absolutely breathtaking!
By the way I live here in Norman if you ever have an empty seat! I would love to see one up close! Stay safe out there!
I just found out that large hail, damaging winds, and isolated tornadoes in the short term could impact areas from San Antonio and Dallas, through Oklahoma City and Tulsa, to Kansas City and Omaha. I heard it also may cause flash floods. I think it said it may be happening over the next 2 days but i'm not sure. Hope this may help a little!
***Super Awesome video!!!***
That is some breathtaking footage you got there, you guys are very brave & have some serious ballz!!!
Have fun on your next chase, take care & always be safe!
Love,
Christina "Dean's Sis"
This is just a shocker. Outstanding video and tornadoes. You guys really found the gold!!! Spectacular!!!
