TornadoVideos.net storm chasers will be heading to Iowa for a potential tornado outbreak tomorrow (Monday). We're leaving in a few hours (1:30 am) for a target in north IA/south MN. Shown below are the 00z WRF forecast for Monday afternoon for CAPE (left) and 850 mb flow (right).

Good luck, you are going to need it cuz all the models are predicting SW surface flow in the afternoon. almost no directional shear, and minimal CAPE, but maybe you can get lucky and get a storm that moves straight east and create shear for itself, or the models could be completely wrong. Don't get me wrong, I do hope you see something though.
Hey good lucky today guys, I live in Rochester MN so I will be out spotting for Olmsted co.
I'm no weather expert, but I watch weather radars across the country because I love extreme weather. I've been watching the clouds on the radar in North East South Dakota, and the clouds are rotating...kinda looks like a supercell developing, although I could be wrong. Looks like you might have a good chance of spotting a good storm. Predictions say there's going to be T-Storms and Hail, so watch out for the hail!

We're almost to the MN border now as you can see on the tracker....,There is a nice cumuls field to our northwest. We expect initiation soon!

Just found out about this site because of the NM tornadoes footage earlier this week, though I guess I've been watching earlier footage as well and didn't know it.
I think tonight all the main action is in Wis as there are a few storm warnings popping up at times as that line pushes ne. My parents live near Green Bay, and already there are storms ahead of the line that could be there in about an hour(as of this posting). Hope things in IA and MN pan out, and there are good sightings, but above all be safe!

Now we have the 10 hour drive home...we'll need to work out the blood clots after this one!

I see that storm northwest of Green Bay was tornado warned for awhile...it looked amazing on radar.
Heart was not a problem today though, you guys have lots of that. Stay safe on the way home.
Not sure if it's just my computer, but when the tracker reloads each 60 seconds, it isn't updating your position when you're traveling. I have to reload your page for the position update...probably some wierd caching thing.

I'm in North Idaho so we don't get intense storms here. Can't wait for you guys to chase another tornado (hopefully out of harms way though). Still driving back at about 1:45 am... around Wichita now! The bust hurts... thought I might see my first for the season, as I haven't gone out on the successful days yet (just bad luck I guess!) Hopefully I'll get my chance a little later down the road!
i love your site its awsome i hope yall have good luck with storms in the future i have loved tornados ever since i was in a tornado as a kid in my own back yard. i havent seen one since and i would love to see one again glad ur out there good luck this season wish i could be out there with you all
