This is a still from the Nikon SLR...this tornado moved northward to about 1/8 of a mile from our position. THE VIDEO IS INCREDIBLE!!! We'll post it later tonight. We followed this storm for about 5 hours from when it was an LP with no rain and a tiny base!! Then, as it reached deeper moisture...all hell broke loose. The picture above is the second tornado...the first was a large stovepipe!

Awesome, can't wait to see the video!
Nice catch, well worth the drive. I'll see you out there tomorrow...probably heading towards Hays and then possibly northwest from there.
Be careful and I HOPE YOU'RE SATISFIED

Great catch bro...can't wait for the system to head north later this weekend!
Like I said before, 2007 is proving to be a big year so far. In Texas and around where you guys are, there is just a whole mess of storms as of 11:00 PM CDT. Keep up the excellent work.
Fantastic!! Keep it up and stay safe!
Was a pretty scary night for us in the area. Glad someone got the pictures!
Excellent capture... never saw one in real life, makes me wish I were in your shoes.
Reed, Do you have any more footage of the Logan, NM tornado?
Hi Jen,
I believe the Logan tornado was further north and earlier in the day, right?
We just have footage of the three tornadoes produced during daylight hours by the supercell that moved just west of Lovington and Tatum, NM, and eventually to Clovis.
I haven't seen any footage of the Logan tornado yet. If you find some pictures, I'd really be interesting in seeing it!
Good luck,
Reed

The picture of the tornado in SE New Mexico was totally awesome. I live in NM and was in El Paso when the tornado struck, so luckily no one in my family got hurt.
