Here is an updated video of the ice accumulations in Norman, OK as of late Saturday morning from the convective freezing rain that occurred last night.
Temperatures have remained steady in the mid- to upper-20s over central and northern Oklahoma, with new convective precipitation developing over southwest OK. The lull in the action that was expected today may not happen, as conditions should deteriorate rapidly over the next few hours as the precipitation intensifies and moves northeastward.

Please tell me your on that awesome looking cell just west of OKC. That thing is showing 45-55dbz. AJKBSJKABJKAB
From round one we have recieved .4 to .5 inches of freezing rain, with primary roads Patchy with ice, and secondary roads completely ice covered. We too had thunder and lighting this morning with round one. After a lull, i see some light freezing precip to the west south west of us on radar. stretching back into Northeastern MO. Waiting for round two, tomorrow night....the models seem to be showing it being alot worse than this round.
And reed, what do you think about round 2 for us here in central IL?
I have some pictures from my phone to upload and send to you. However i have problems resizing them and watermarking them...anyone know a good program to DL and do that with?
I choose not to shoot video with the phone because, i had problems uploading video from my phone to the pc.

If we were in the cold-cold area like OK and everywhere else, north and west of here I likely would not be typing this because we'd have massive icing going on here too. Our temp has been pretty much fastened at 45 degrees today, but we've had a nice amount of rain. How much? That I cannot tell you, because there was a maple twirly thing and a sunflower seed stuck in my digital rain gauge, which as you probably guessed messed up the whole rain-gauge reporting detail. I am pretty sure we had over a quarter-inch, though. Now the rain gauge is fixed, though, and there is more rain on the way. Yessss!
Congrats on your snow, Connor. :D And nice photos AJ. ... Can't help you on your photo issue, Ben, sorry. Brady might know though. (It's times like this that we all really miss Joe Surfer. He always knew about this stuff.)
One last thing (minor detail!): The "updated" video in this thread is not working. It says "we're sorry, this video is no longer available" when I click to play.

I haven't quite figured out to upload vid from my phone and haven't really tried! the only vid I have on my phone is about 5sec of my truck rocking in the wind when I chased the day Pine City had it's lil hose!! I had no problem uploading a pic from my phone to photobucket!! from there resizing shouldn't be a problem!! I've been using photoshop to watermark! It took a lil instruction from a friend, but I gots it figured out now! It's all I really know how to do with it! I also have Lightroom refered to me by Heidi!! TY I haven't used it much, but it does seem really nice for tweaking pics!! Reed told me he uses photoshop for watermarking and I must say TY to him too cuz I do like it!! I actually went through my pics one by one to mark em. It woulda been easier to mark em by the batch, but One by one made them come out much nicer!! I'm glad I took the time to do that!!
I can't veiw the video up there it's about 60 digreez here.... usally here in KY at this time it's about 40
It's bitter over here: 21 with a windchill of 11. I think my dog has snout-sickles. lol. I'm sure staying inside today, not because the roads are bad or anything, but because it's too darn cold for me!
well normally im not one to brag- but the warm front is finnally north of j-ville and last i checked we had a temp of 67 with a dewpoint of 67- under overcast skies

I think we're getting photoshop CS3 sometime soon. That should be better for making watermarks than what I am doing now. I have to export from Lightroom and then put it on using the Lexmark printer photo editor thingy. I think I can do them with Lightroom but I don't know how (!!!). AND we're working on the crappy video camera issue, too. We're just not sure what to get, starting from scratch really.
Oh, and have I mentioned that its still 45 here?! :D
yeah i did- but i am wilol waiting on that rain doggonit lol but theres t-storms also developing i hope when i get a t-storm it turns severe with large hail- that would be the best 23rd b-day gift i can ever get- and theres hope with that from storm cell o0 that is if it hifts just a little more northeast

That cell that just passed through Norman last hour seemed to produce rapid new accretion on trees and powerlines, much more efficiently than the heavy stuff we saw overnight by my estimation. I guess most elevated surfaces have now cooled enough to where the drops are truly freezing on contact. If that training band that seems to be developing along and near I-44 to the SW holds up and sits over us for awhile, power outages are probably inevitable later tonight.
Roads and sidewalks are still 100% wet, though, despite ~16 hours of subfreezing temps. I'm thinking we don't have much shot at getting icy roads out of this event, so the main impacts should be tree damage and power outages. We'll see though.
Hold on to your hat Caleb! Donny, I really would prefer snow right now, because any rain we got would freeze.

i'll make this a quick post- these t-storms are jsut what i was hoping for- we lost power 4 times in 15 minutes and my camera's batteries are dead and lots of lightning lol but these are pretty nice- i love it- but i need to chow before we lose electricity again- y'all be safe and good- im out for now

no kiddin lol we just regained electricity back- and where i live- its hard to lose electricity- one thig that i noticed- but not sure how to ask this is- but why does it seem that in winter time- some of the thunder is louder in winter with cooler conditions rather then in spring
