Check out The Weather Channel's images of the year blog post at the link below, produced by veteran TWC meteorologist Stu Ostro. Featured are several amazing pictures, radar and satellite loops, and videos from some very interesting and unique weather events from 2007, including the record-breaking lake effect snow of early in the year, a synopsis of the severe weather season, and also images from the cat 5 hurricanes in the Caribbean. TornadoVideos.net's Manitoba tornado footage from June 23, 2007 was also used. Enjoy!

That's a pretty cool blog by the Weather Channel dude. Nice summary of the year ... I guess this means you're not going to do something similar now?! :)
That sucks about the truck - is that really *your* truck or was it a rental? And I won't even ask how the axle got broken! AAAAA!!!
No we'll be doing something similar Heidi! Hopefully soon but I've been swamped recently.
The truck is mine, but is definitely not worth over $500! It had about 220,000 miles on it and was on its last legs. I was surprised it made it from Oklahoma to Michigan!
thanks for posting reed...the radar image of the greensburg supercell is insane!
That's pretty cool! I wish TWN or EC would do something like that...Well we do have the top 10 weather stories of 2007. I'm so excited for 2008 though. EC predicts another Hot but more "Wet" season for Edmonton this coming summer! I'll be totally prepared!
Hey guys, including Reed. I did something a little similar on my site. It's a re-cap of the years crazy weather. I have included the Greensburg tornado, Tropical storm Erin, and much more. If you want to check it out, please do. And leave a comment to tell me what you think. I realize, that everyone has the same idea... so sorry if i took anyones idea. Here is the link to my site

go to the breaking news blog and you will find it under there. I hope anyone who reads it likes it.
hey guys....
cool, the article looks amazing, and look forward to reading your article aswell Reed, cant wait....
I think that Manitoba footage is going to go down as one of the top weather "events" of the decade, by the way ...
Ok, so i feel a little bit better about the truck situation now, I guess. At least you're not talking about a newer model vehicle ... and at least you weren't chasing a tornado when it happened!
words really cannot decribe some of the major events that happened this year from the EF-5 grensburg to the the Cat 5 huricanes earlier this year- to the kentucky tornado outbreak- out of one single radar image i have 5 tvs's or couplets of this year- this should make all of think- what will next year be like
Sweet link, thanks for posting. Hopefully a white New Year for us in Ohio to stay in and watch football, looks like 2 or 3 for us. Have a good one and go G-MEN
Thanks for the highlight vids. Looking forward to 2008.

haha nice video Cors. That dubbed show is called MXC btw, really funny! It used to be on the channel Spike, but i never see it there anymore.
If i am correct though, I think the actual Japanese show is called Takeshi's Castle. Yup...Japanese game shows are the best!
Speaking of japanese game shows...check this out (aired one, 17 other parts on youtube!!!):

Sorry to hear about the truck Reed!! What happened? you snapped an axle?? Let me know the year, make, and model, I might be able to find some parts for ya!!
