Above is video from the tail-end of today's snow storm in Grand Rapids, MI. We only received about 4-6 inches of snow, but the snowfall rates were intense at times (~2 inches/hour). Unfortunately, I missed the beginning of the storm because the front axle of my truck snapped 3 hours north of here! Thankfully it happened in a parking lot and not on the highway! It looks like we may be in for an extended quiet, but extremely cold period for much of the U.S. beginning early next week.
Hey Reed, sucks that you missed the first part of the storm! Anyway you have been missing out on several small little snowstorms here in Oklahoma. Last night, we had some heavy wet snow which accumulated very quickly. I have never seen flakes so big! These storms were very fast, which prevented them from picking up too much moisture.... therefore snowfall amounts were limited. Looks like quite but cold weather will be the rule for awhile. What do you think Reed?
Cool Reed! How much total snow accumulation is expected to fall?
Not much more Kenny...we got dry-slotted here in GR...and I have no vehicle anymore to catch up to the snow! Anything good in Edmonton?
