The intense snow band over SW Texas continues to intensify and expand this evening, as strong low-level warm advection intensifies ahead of the trough over the Southern Rockies/Mexican Plateau. The SPC has issued a Mesoscale Discussion for the area, with the mention of 1-2" per hour snowfall rates within the band over Pecos, Crane, and Upton Counties!

HUGE snowstorm for Norman: 6 inches easily!
Vort max will move directly over Norman if not a tad south of Norman. TOUCHDOWN!!!!

Hahaha Kenny..that snow attack is hitting us right now, I bet we got at least an inch already. Kinda funny thing is that the forecast has been saying "overcast" like all day lol...even though it's been snowing since about noon!!
Something is going on down there in Texas as they have been hammered the last few years. We here in Ohio are preparing for the rain on Monday on the first day of deer gun season grrrr up to an inch. I hope it SNOWS one day here.
Oh yeah I'm officially a Sooner fan this week in hopes they can beat Mizzou to send my Buckeyes to the Sugar Bowl.

Reed, You should head up to Alberta next weekend/The week after this coming week if models verify. Were suppose to get a good snowstorm!
Anyone want a taste of over-cold weather?? Highs are gonna be below -10 C, lows around -20 C (not including windchill!!) WILL LOVE IT!!! :D
Same here SKgirl! It's going to be -10-15 for high's this week and in the high minus teens and low minus 20's for lows.
Good Morning from Southwest Dallas.
Conditions as they currently are.
Moderate to Heavy Rain - Sleet and Small Snow flakes mixed in.
Temperature at weatherbug station 2 blocks from me, Currently 34.9. Rain recived in past hour, .15 Inch.
Something interesting I have noticed, I think a Low Pressure may be developing over N Central Texas at the moment. Pressure is down from 30.13 2 hours ago to 30.08, with SPC's Freezing map showing backing to the NW. Very interesting.

What the heck is that snow doing way down there
It's 1400 miles too far south.
Rolling thru US tv channels but haven't seen anything about it yet.
Maybe one day we will get some up here, where there is supposed to be snow.
School will be out for the week down there? haha

Hey Brady, i'll text ya later Today when i wake up, just getting home from work now. If your gonna take some pics of the waves Today on Lake Superior, you need a boat to get out into the middle of the Lake, looks like a southwest wind Today. Man, i hope the ECM is right for midweek around here, could see system and lake enhanced snows here in the city, possibly 3-6 inches or so.. GFS would give us hardly anything at that time.
Yea West-central Tx has to be pretty well shut down right now...
My moms boyfriend was telling me about how when he was playing in Dallas one night it snowed a inch and a half, and the city was shut down, he said all the businesses closed, and even the club he was playing at closed. Thats funny to me with only a inch and a half.

Hey Brady!! It's good here, nice and cold lol. Right now feels like -20, I love winter haha.
We also got about 3 inches of snow between yesterday/overnight. Before I leave back to the city I'll take some pictures :)
