As I'm sure many of you have noticed, we added a new box on the right sidebar for the Feature Video of the Week, which we will update every Sunday with a new intense video. These videos will be selected from a pool of submissions, or from our own video library if no one decides to submit their own. If you would like to nominate a video for Feature Video of the Week, please email the link to reed@tornadovideos.net, and if selected, the video will be added at right. The ultimate plan once we get everything up and running is to offer a prize for Feature Video of the Week nomination -- e.g. a tv.net t-shirt, coffee mug, tornado video, picture, etc. Once again, this week's feature video was selected from our own library, and is displayed below (I'm sure all of you are getting sick of the Manitoba video by now!).

Hey guys whats happening today???? I saw that video a little while ago pretty sweet. i plan to get close to a tornado but not that close. maybe with experience i will get that close.
I, for one, could not possibly get sick of the Manitoba video. That's top 2 all time for me, between that and Manchester.

I cant wait for the snow to come. And Reed says he is crazy about lake enhanced snow and from what ive been told i get it so it should be a fun winter.

WHOA Caleb calm down lol.. Ok first, just go to my old site, www.freewebs.com/cwfs/, Go down on the home page, find my chat. Underneath it click Start new Then name it and make the size, colours to it. Once your done you click Done And it'll give you a code to copy. Make a new paragraph on your site and name it Live chat or whatever you want. Then copy the code given to you in the paragraph and click done on the top of the page, then done again, then check your site and it should work.

check out this INSANE video from austrailia who ever is interested. maybe some have seen it, but for those who havent its definetly worth checking out. watch for the debris...i mean MISSLE...fly in from the right and hit the power station. INTENSE!!!

@Reed: Sorry, I was busy, so the answer to your question 2? blogs before is a bit late ;-) . Concerning Greece: I only found severe rain and flash flood reports. I've heard about damage which was - supposedly - caused by several tornadoes, but I haven't got any verification for that.

The video is nice, but it would be nicer, if the music is a bit piped down and the speech a bit louder (it's hard to understand). But definitly great work!

Ya thunderstorms are fun. I got my share of them this summer...including a tornado warning for my area, and many tornado watches. Man they sure are cool to watch. How often do you see thunderstorms there anyways?
Sorry guys, I was gone for a bit! Yeah, this summer was pretty exciting weather-wise. It even lasted here until August, with that mid-month supercell (featuring a bow echo :D)

Brady, I checked a couple of models today and it looks bleak for a while. Last couple of winters we didn't get until mid-late november. I figure we are close enough to get close to the same snow conditions. I'm also looking for a new sled. Last one was 6 years ago (Indy 500 burnt piston) and I'm getting the itch again. Maybe a Yamaha. Either way, looks like I'm, going south for it. Way cheaper down in your neck of the woods.
Must be coming soon cuz I can't stop thinking about 112 MPH across Lake Winnipeg.

It was pretty cool up there, though. Got to see the last little parts of the low that's been sitting over us over the last few days scoot out of here, with the sun finally breaking through late this afternoon, and casting beams down through the clouds. Wish I'd had the good camera - there were some awesome shots that I missed.

man I must say american news reporters are probably the best in the world. the way they bring the story is just unique. also those copters the news channals have are awesome its really wot separates them from the rest and they are definitely worth their weight in gold in these kind of situations.

anyways It might sound artarded if I say I knew this was gonna happen considering its impossible to predict wildfires nevertheless Ive been following reports of wildfires for some time now and its never been this bad (globally).(therefore I also know that its very likely the next disaster in line for socal is a shortage of fresh water)
yes they are cors.....i also bet that these us stations hav a lot more $$$ than other stations. and with the helicopters, its also important that the pilot knows wat they'rwe doing so they dont crash(duh....stupid pointing out by me)
also about the freshwater thing.....socal gets a lot of their water from the colorado river drainage basin, which is getting in worse and worse shape due to overuse of the river, and apparently now some regions of the us are eyeing canada for our water cause they're running out.
lol in dutch we call "fresh water" ; "sweet water" kinda strange when i think about it cause it aint sweet at all.
oh well at least we got the metric system which compared to the imperial!? system is so much more logical, at least to me.

Hey Reed, I really think we should have something of an open discussion forum or project on this site that focuses on global warming (there I said it!)
I noticed that over here in europe its much more accepted that gw is mostly caused by humans and the eu governments are really trying to do something about it, which generally means in this bureaucratic part of the world raise the tax, for instance oil over here is about 3times more then u pay in the usa (lol and hearing americans complain about high gas price if u only knew)
anyways my point is that global warming is mostly caused by human activity and I dare anyone to try and make an argument against it.

Cors, global warming was going to surface here eventually. Our winters here in Winnipeg (historically the coldest major city in North America) are nothing compared to my childhood. We rarely see anything colder than -30c and if it happens, its very short lived. In the 1970's, -30s were normal for a month at a time. Its happening, period.
But, global warming = more chances for storm chasing. Hmmm toss up eh. haha

Yes strike, I can see what you mean. Also being from Winnipeg, GW is affecting us....though I'm definitely not old enough to have known what it was like ib the 70's.....but from what I've heard from parents and grandparents, it used to be much colder in the winter with more snow....and according to my grandfather, the Red River was actually CLEAR when he was young.
