A significant tornado outbreak struck the central U.S. from late afternoon yesterday through the overnight, with at least 29 tornadoes reported as of daybreak Friday, but this number will likely increase as damage surveys are conducted. The most significant tornadoes occurred over northern and central MI, northern IN, southern IL, and western KY. Sadly, 1 fatality was reported in Kalkaska, MI, but the final impacts from this outbreak will not be known for several days. During the morning yesterday, a surprise supercell tornado also developed over the Gulf of Mexico and moved onshore at Pensacola, FL, causing EF2 damage. Video clips of this tornado are shown below.

1513 UTC -- Pensacola -- Escambia Co, FL -- Large tornado with damage. Moved into Pensacola from the Gulf of Mexico.

Yeah i've seen all of thoughes
Awesome. ;) What's up everyone?
Thise videos are amazing....i hope no one was seriously hurt from that tornado
Hey AJ....not much....got to head out soon...play some football/soccer for a local team lol
how are ya?
I'm searching around on YouTube to see if there are any other videos from yesterday, too. Also, I just talked to a family member of the people I know in KY and they were not affected. They live in Marion, KY, which is northeast of Paducah, so the worst of the action went north and south of them.
Last night was intense! Can you guys IMAGINE what it would be like if there are another "Super Outbreak" and we were able to follow it on radar, live-streaming video, personal reports, chaser reports, etc.?!?!?!!! That would have to be pretty difficult to handle!!!!!!!! =-O 8-O AAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!
Heidi, I have one thing to say: alshflshfklsjhfklsahfa! ;)
I"m getting ready to head out for the day also, have important teenager stuff to do. ;) Catch ya'll later!
... (that was supposed to say "... if there WAS another Super Outbreak ..." ) :P
lol Heidi im not sure what to think there :/.....maybe if it was a super outbreak in the country side then yeh would be great, loads of tornadoes and knw one would get hurt :D.... anyway guys im out will be back on in a few hours have a good one see ya!
Hey Guys.... Sorry, I had to do something real quick.
Tim.. There is this anoymous guy on my site that says I'm plugging up Reeds blog and that we need to find a chat to discuss our personal crap!! Did this happen to you?? Cause that pissed me off.
yeah zack did you see my last post i said

Cool site zack Word of advice please block that stupid spammer anonymous he was on my site a nd tim's site to!
Here's a video from near Madisonville, KY. There is no tornado, but it's worth watching because it shows that tornadic storm from a distance, and you're able to get a feeling for the reactions of the people in the area at that time.

This one had a news helicopter in it ^

This one was made by someone who was mad that Ugly Betty was preempted.

That one is a lightning video from Christian Co. KY

This was footage someone got from the Cincinnati storm
Some of the tornados in Nrn Illinois may have been "mini-supercells," formed with smallish CAPE values confined to the lower ~400 mb of the atmosphere.
Looks like Reeds home state got the most tubes, I think..
Im looking forward to next warm season...
Question: Do most storm chasers today use in-car radar?
Hi Andy - not too sure what you mean by "in car radar". What most have is their lap top and an internet card from a cell phone provider such as Verizon or Sprint. Once they have this set up, the possibilities are limitless. If there are some chasers working for a TV station or a WX outfit (company) they can log in and get up to the minute feeds rather than a 4 minute delay from GX.
OH...unless your "Josh" and have your own Doppler on Wheels (DOW) : )
MNMOXIE- Thanks, I did mean with a lap top "in-car". Even though in car radar probably will be a future reality.
Hey guys im back lol.....whats going on then?
Yeh Zack i did
Hey Tim... Perfect Timing!! The stormchaser show is comming on again tonight at 7pm for my area
Hey Zack, ive checked that will be 2am here and i realised that usa have a different schedule to us so its not on here :(, but thanks for telling me anyway :)

Hey guys just got back from my chase of the storms that came my way. Nothing special from this but they were severe warned i think and i got stuck on the side of the road heheeh. In the video u will see the tow truck that was coming to get me out.
It's not coming on where you are??? I thought you said it was comming on the other day?
Meanwhile I am soooooooo bored! I wish there was something interesting going on.

Lol Zack, i said i thought it was coming on the other day then ahe last minuet i found out it wasn't on i was a bit annoyed to say the least lol :P
Oh I see... Well I'm getting VERY annoyed at my website!! I can't get it set up properly! Thinking about closing it down. What do you think?
whats wrong with it Zack
Whats wrong with it Zack.....dont close it down its great at it is
Well Matt, If you wan't to get involved... First of all you know how you can put stuff at the front of the page? well I can't. And I'm trying to get a logo.
I kinda don't want to Tim, but Yours is WAY better than mine, and ever since that annoymous guy I feel very discouraged and stressed out!
Where did you go, Matt? Tillsonburg? Barrie?
Zack if your trying to get a logo across the banner at the top you know where it gives a list of all the pages on your site and lets you edit them, at the top of there, there should be something saying "edit site titles and image2, click on there and you should be able to upload an image for youogo at the botom of the page....... if that is any help
Trust me Zack i did aswell but you cant let someone lick that stand in your way....... yeh i can understand if they have a problem with it, but i mean come on, if they aint even going to say who they are then they aren't very confident th people will back them up......its the same person and if im honest im not going to listen until they leave there real name
I was going to go to Barrie until i got stuck on the side of the road. But there was a storm trying to develop just east of Beeton that i have on tape. But no my chase was limited becuase of the side of the road thing.
Yeah Tim your right. I should just ignore him... Here is my website if you wan't to check it out. I also updated my blog and put a link to tornaovideos.net.. I'm hoping to get a live radar, a link page, and a chat room going soon. Did you find pictures of tornadoes and stuff and then went to paint to set them up?
Hey zack dont worry about whos site is better. for the simple reason of i dont think websites are a competion. Dont worry it takes time to make a good website.
Oopps.. i forgot to post the link to my site...
Here it is (click my name)^
Well guys i have to get to work on editing this video of mine so ill be back when its done.
eh Zack just ignore them, i haven't got any respect for people who hide behind a false name.....but i am going to say from now on if it is ok with you we email when it is about our sites......im not letting that pern win i just dont want any problems for any of us yeh?
ermm, i havent got many pics on my site yet but when i did my logo yeh i croped it
Yeah Tim that's cool with me.. To tell you the truth I don't have any respect for those loosers either. I hate It when people are rude and mean to each other.
Yeh cool ack will email you, ive left a comment in your blod leave one back to me and will read it when its done, and now we email each other lol....
not a lot happening today lol:P
Sorry Zack typo spelt your name ack in last post sorry
Ok im I'll get to reading lol!
Interesting article (^^^) from NASA talking about the role of undular waves (and especially the undular bore) in the formation of thunderstorms and the intensifying of tornadoes.
Also has a great video of undular waves taken from the ground.
The weather service confirmed the tornado touched down last night in williamston, mi and 2 people have died. It also overturned a semi on 96 and destroyed quite a few homes. They are still working to confirm a couple other tornadoes in the area today...sad :(
Tornado confirmed in Williamston; two dead
Midday update
Lansing State Journal
UPDATED 2:12 p.m. - The National Weather Service has confirmed a tornado touched down overnight in Williamston.
The EF2-class tornado with winds up to 130 miles per hour claimed the lives of Duane and Susan Bentley.
Divers recovered their bodies this morning, after the overnight tornado tossed their modular home into a nearby man-made pond.
Dan Cobb, one of two National Weather Service meteorologists in the area assessing damage, said the tornado's swath was 150 yards to 300 yards wide in places.
Officials said a second emergency shelter at Webberville High School has been set up, partly because Williamston High School is without power. Residents can still go to Williamston High or call 911 if they need help.
"At this point, if you have nothing in town you need to be here for, don't come into town," Williamston Mayor Kenneth Zichi said. "The more people who are here, the harder it is for (emergency personnel) to do their jobs."
Cool Zack just let me know when you post a reply on there....
Thats terrible news :(
Hey Tim, Uh I can't upload a Photo on my site! Can you check it out and then tell me what I'm doing wrong?^^
Zack ive sent you an email about it lol
Well im done editing and the video is made just waiting for it to upload.
were did everybody go/???
Cool Matt cant wait to see it....
Zack are you still there??
Ok here it is it not much and the only clip that im not driving in is the part were i got stuck on the side on the road.
It was pretty funny is was sitting there filming will this cop was calling the tow truck. Anyways there is the video.
WOW- My Fiancee's best friend lives in Pensicola FL, and she was at work when this occured. She said everyone ran outside when this happened, and that she was only a few blocks away from it. she said she saw it like plain day. She said she had some pictures she was going to send, because she knows that I am into Tornadoes. I am not sure if they are of the actual Tornado, or of the aftermath.
Have you guys seen the photos of that Williamston, Mi tornado damage over at severestudios??
Andrew those are cool photos of the waternado! Thanks for sharing that and the reports.
zack and Tim....
"Tim.. There is this anoymous guy on my site that says I'm plugging up Reeds blog and that we need to find a chat to discuss our personal crap!! Did this happen to you?? Cause that pissed me off."
I hate to have to state the obvious, but more than half of the posts in this blog entry are from you two talking about "personal crap".
Sorry Tim.. Yeah I'm still here. I was updating the blog on my site. You can check it out if you wan't..
I havn't read your e-mail yet.. I'm going to right now so be right back!
So far I've seen 2 interviews on msn that show me that people need to keep watch, because there were some close calls.
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/21375937/
Yeh PB ive noticed that and we are sorry, that is why i said we are to email from now on, sorry everyone
You know what PB... This is a free country so I don't care what you say! Besides this is not your site anyways so you really need to shut up! I'f Reed has a problem w/ it he would let me know!
Oh and if you havn't noticed, everything we have been talking about HAS been related to the weather!
ha,Heidi nice vids..... Remebere I saw it live on TV.
Hey Caleb! Whats going on?
Tim are you still there?
lol Caleb, glad to hear you got something yesterday, well got to see something.....
Just a few FFW's out at the moment, havent checked the SPC outlook yet
Oh also sory Matt forgot to say, watched your vid, nice job
It's Sunny and 74 degrees over here at the moment.
Sorry about me blowing up like that in the last comment. I just don't like it when people start complaing and critisizing each other. I like to talk about the weather, but I like to talk about other things to.
Where is everybody??
Im still here thinking about how much of an idoit i am hahah oh boy that on to tell the grandkids.
The link Andrew posted regarding the damage from MO has a photo at the bottom (of a machine shed) that looks pretty much exactly what my neighbor's barn looks like, and it was hit by a tornado (probably also an F-0) about 10 years ago. The sheet-metal roofing is peeled back the same way and everything!
http://www.crh.noaa.gov/crnews/display_story.php?wfo=lsx&storyid=10651&source=0
Wouldn't worry Matt, what do you get over the winter? in the way snow storms and stuff like that
Geez there saying that the tornado that hit louisville was not a tornado it was RFD winds. How ever the city i use to live in was hit by an EF2!
We get pretty good winters here. The way things are looking with the temps slowly droping i think we could have a good winter. And ive been meaning to ask Reed if i get lake enhanced snow i forgot last time he was on.
Here is a link to a video on a South Bend, IN TV station - it's their news coverage of the Nappanee damage (this is where they had the tornado emergency last night).
http://www.wndu.com/home/headlines/10673571.html
You'll want to click on the video player on the right-hand side to see the clip.
Ah right so thats good then, you could have a good season over the winter
An incredible water vapor image from last night about the time the tornadoes were plastering Kentucky. Check out the jet streak just blasting the tops off the storms!! Incredible shear! Some of the vapor from the storm tops look like they were blasted 100 miles!!!

This is just funny ^^
Andrew, I saved the water vapor image from yesterday at the same time! AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm guessing suction vortices ^^^
Heidi maybe I just haven't paid enough attention to that kind of stuff in the past, but gosh that image looks just like the 500mb weather maps on the models from yesterday. You can see the whole setup as clear as a meteo drawing, the trough, the low, everything. I'm definitely saving that one too!
Now I know what "negatively tilted trough" means, lol. And next time I hear that term I am going to pay attention!
Very sobering pics Heidi.
Keep 'em coming.

This site out of Indianapolis has a video player on the LEFT-hand side with several storm-related videos to choose from - hail, damage, etc.
Is there any like foundations out there for tornado releave. I would think that there is but i thought about that yesterday.

Hee hee. :)
Heidi have you seen what the GFS wants to do to you in the near future?

And it keeps it there for like, 3 days!

The Red Cross, of course, takes donations, but I am not 100% sure you get to allocate your donation to tornado relief (or hurricane relief) except in special circumstances, like Katrina. There are several private charities that I know of that do disaster relief - here is one of them that I am specifically familiar with:
http://www.churchworldservice.org/Emergencies/index.html
You'll need to dig around to find what you might be looking for, for example, by clicking on "domestic appeals." (My brother-in-law is associated with this organization - that's how I came up with it so fast.)
Andrew, you know what, I have not even had a chance to look at ANY models since like Tuesday night!!!!!!!!!!!! I keep waking up in the middle of the night thinking ARGGGGG I am missing model runs and so I have no way of recoginzing changes in patterns, etc! The last model I looked at was when Dick M. posted some link with a note that he was staying home! (It's ALL HIS FAULT!!! ;)
I do know that our chief Met. has been saying that Sunday/Monday could be pretty big for us.
I'm not sure there's enough moisture available this time around for something thermonuclear like last night. But heck, what do I know.
But maybe some more fireworks for you. And winter by the end of the week for me!!
Bring it on.
Any one know how to add a live chat to your Freewebs site?
Is anyone watching the svr warning on grl over PA,colubia north?
Hello everyone, It's a nice friday isn't it...Well not here! it's 10C and cloudy :( low is -2(-7 with windchill).
Caleb as a matter-of-fact I do.
Tim, I've had the State College, PA site up for a while now, keeping an eye on my fam in MD. There are two TVS back a ways behind the severe warning ... odd, but we do see those pop up at times in strange places.
Hey Hedi....yeh i was wondering about that, that is very odd.....
please say if i am wrong but was there a hook just north of the svr warning? i was watching it for aut an hour and it looked as if there was?
Really sorry about typing your namr wring Hedi!
Tim, DO NOT worry about spelling my name wrong, ever! We all understand when we get typing too fast that our fingers go in strange places. I even spell my OWN name wrong sometimes!
I saw it looking like it was "trying" to form a hook for a while, but it was pretty weak. Nice eye, though. :D
AHHHH....I can type well this late at night, sorry again Heidi.... so many mistakes in that last post and it was ony one sentence long
Ok well thanks...... yeh it startedto form and then packe up, im surprised they haven't issued a warning for the line south of it, that seems to be going very strong
Tim do you know how to add a live chat to a Freewebs site if you do please tell :)
Sorry Caleb i dont....
another TVS is there now, but that line i was on about looks as if it is starting to weaken
Get a flew drinks in me and i cant spell a damn thing.
I just saw the most ridiculous weather graphic of all time on ABC World News. They were doing the coverage of last night's tornados, and, in attempting to make a graphic of the classic thing where they color the cold air coming out of Canada blue, and the gulf moisture red (you all know what I'm getting at, I'm sure), to emphasise the "clash" of airmasses as being responsible for the severe outbreak ... well, they got the cold stuff down pretty good, but they had the WARM air moved WAAAY too far east, and with the "warm gulf air" being shown coming COUNTER CLOCKWISE out of the ATLANTIC!!!!!!!! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
lol Matt...
anyway guys im out for the night..... im hoping that we will get soemfog over the night like we have for the past few days, cause i want to get some pics, i saw some really good shots on the way to school today so will headout early....anyway have a goo one see ya!!
Ya see ya later Tim.
Ya so i think that was my last chase of the year until the winter stuff comes. I actually made 2 chases today. I was driving home and ssaw something that i like and i thought i saw a wall cloud but i probably didnt(dont have picture of it) And then I pull over into the ditch. oh boy.
And i learned today that a storm chasing partner helps. Video taping and driving is hard.
Matt! I watched your video a little while ago - you should have filmed your car being stuck!!! =-D
U know i never thought of that. The only time i film stopped is when i was stuck. And there was a cop behind me calling for the tow truck. Didnt need it and i drove by him comingg home.
Way too much blog to surf through!! hehe How's everyone tonight?? Just got done with a crazy week of werk!!
I almost hate to say it... but it nice to see things have calmed down a lil from yesterdays Hell!! I'm gonna have a few brews tonight!! hehe
Did I just see some of Reed's videos on that new Storm Chasers show?
Yes Matt!! It's not smart to tape and drive!! I can kinda lock my lil cam on my dash with some pop cans holding the lanyard!!
I kinda like riding solo cuz I don't get much me time and it's a nice brake from reality, but I'm trying to recruit a roady for my long trips!!
And especially for us noobs I highly recommend a nowcaster or at least someone who can watch radar a lil and notify you, and knows where you are!!
Joe We miss ya man!!
No I haven't seen it yet!! I heard a lil about it though!! When is it on?? I really wanna see it!! Hell Ya!! Good for you Reed!! Next year, on the plains!! Storms by day!! Beers by night!! hehe And If we're REALLY lucky I'll get my chance to shove ya off into a waterspout!! ( anywhere else and that would be a terrible thing to say!!)
Well the tow truck that drives by was comin to get me out the ditch. but 4 guys helped me out and got me out. I went to pull over to get some better clip and i hit a soft spot and went into the ditch. So i sitting there taking pictures with a cop behind me calling the tow truck. Im lucky that those guys got me out because i would have had topay the tow truck guy and i had no money on me
Let me guess Matt!! you pulled just off the road and the grass and all was slippery wet and when you went to pull out ya slid down!! that's happened to me twice now and that is a big reason I love the 4x4!! It costs more in fuel, but man I love the control on the road in heavy rain, the 4x4 in a pinch, and the lil extra respect ya might get on the road with a truck!!
No i just pulled over to far to the right and went down the ditch.
My next vehicle will be a truck though.
Im uploading all my pictures from today.
Well Matt!! Ya had the decency to pull over far enough to allow traffic plenty of room!! =) That's smart chasing!! I'm just trying to make ya feel better about getting burried!! hehe
Yeah I really wanna see that new Storm Chaser show. Last year's had Reed's South Dakota Tornado fest video on it of the huge wedge! And his name was in the credits it was cool!, I saw Joel Taylor, Dave , Reed Timmer and some other chasers.
Hey Brady how's it goin! I'm still waitin on snow!! Forecast looks like 30 and 31st im suppose to get snow all day but I don't trust those stupid idiot's on the weather channel!! They've bumped the snowfall dates further and further away!! I'm begining to think they just put whatever because they know they're getting paid and so they don't care what they forecast!
Matt, you were wondering if we get lake enhanced snow? We sure do!
You remember the many times we'd get brief, sudden snow last winter? Those were streamers coming off the lake. They typically hit Barrie (traditional snow belt, prevailing Westerlies), but get a bit of north wind mixed in there, and its instant sleigh bell time!
(I love winter! C'mon Christmas!)
YES!!! FINALLY RAIN!!! Rain is on it's way to me!!! Whee I'm gunna film it just because we havent had rain in so long. Be ready for a gay video of rain!
Two killed in Williamston, Mi tornado.
News Link: http://www.woodtv.com/Global/story.asp?S=7236723
Thanx for the post Tom!! I like the Great Lakes posts!! hehe I tried to get a Superior waterspout yesterday!! Didn't happen as far as I seen!!=( The NE wind = the storm moving North!! There was a one point some scud started rotating pretty neat from the lake shore that took a rope form, but buy the time I got the cam on it was done!! =( I'll upload the half ass vid later!! after yesterday my material aint worth s #$t!!
Kenny!! I don't know squat about forecasting!! it's not my fetish!! hehe But from what I've been gathering, this wet weather pattern I don't think is gonna stop anytime soon!! It looked like the next system is already ashore!! Hopefully things will cool down and bring some snow soon!! my Arctic Cat ( made in Minny) needs to pur!!
Hey everybody! Hows it goin today?
Ya kenny...I see what you mean. I've noticed the 14 day trend changes everyday past the 7 day mark. But remember.....longe range models arent accurate either, so they could be thinking different stuff everyday.
Man yesterday was awesome to watch! 29 tornado reports! cool! But yes, as s.c. said, it is sad that 2 people had to die yesterday. :(
Jon
Yesterday was so busy on here I couldn't keep up with the posts!! I tried my hand on some convection! Seen better, chased worse!! =) I still haven't caught up on yesterday!!
Weeeee I might see snow tonight!!! First snow!!! I'm so giddish right now! Haha I hope to get some flurries atleast.
Got nasty here around Columbus Ohio about 3am Friday with some serious wind and alot of lightning picking up close to .45in of rain and a peak gust 38mph. Not too many leaves left.
What about early next week looks like another strong system possibly?
my uncle lives right on Buckeye! He's too good to say Hi to us, but It's nice to know everything was cool there!! hehe F#$kin family!! =(
Dam...Low shifted south bringing the snow southeast and missing me...Wainwrights going to get dumped on...I was sure I was going to see sometihng tonight and it looks like my luck always gets crushed...I feel like becoming a god and killing winds that shift on you!!! GRRRR...!!1
Sorry not Wainwright, Wastaskawin will be getting dumped.
A huge October storm walloped a large portion of the Central Plains, Great Lakes, Upper Midwest, Ohio Valley, and Southern states the past 2 days.
In the last 2 days, there's been 44 reports of tornadoes. 350 reports of damaging winds. And 141 reports of large hail. To me, this seems very unusual to see that many severe weather reports in mid-October.
Here in Duluth, the center of this strong low passed right over head early This Morning, around the 3 AM hour. Lowest pressure reading was 977 mb or 28.85" of mercury when this low moved overhead.
*24 hour precipitation record was broken here in Duluth on Thursday, October 18th, 2007* 2.66" of rain fell on Thursday here in the city which broke the previous 24 hour record of 1.06" which was set in 1984.
Between 2 and 3 inches of rain occurred here in Duluth from this storm which resulted in some flooding around parts of the city, more flooding also occurred along the Northshore of Lake Superior from Two Harbors northeast to Grand Marais Minnesota.
Winds ahead of this storm were out of the east to northeast at 20 to 35 mph here in Duluth with wind gusts approaching 50 mph on Thursday closer to Lake Superior, waves on Western Lake Superior ranged from 6 to 12 feet. Winds decreased drastically here in Duluth Thursday Afternoon as the center of this deep low moved closer to the city, the winds remained rather light until around 5 AM Today, when westerly winds developed and increased as the strong low passed northeast of the city.
Don't know if this has been posted or not, but SPC has updated thursdays tornado count to 45. Here's the link:

Yes Strike i was just getting redy to point that out.
The reason the number of tornados is increasing, even though the even is well over with, is because the NWS storm assesment teams are getting into the field and finding evidence of more tornado touchdowns, than were reported.
Ready* and Event*
Good morning guys! It's cloudy and 4 degrees here with a chance of more clouds this afternoon, followed by more clouds this evening and clouds overnight until sunday morning.
Ben, I would assume that with such a large area to cover that we won't know all of the true damage for quite some time.
I'm very new to this so I don't have alot of experience to go on, but I would guess that this must have been one of the geographically largest outbreaks ever. From the Florida pan handle to the northern tip of Michigan in one day is astounding.
Brady, nice summary of the event from your end. That must have been incredible to have been right in the eye of the circulation for basically ALL DAY!!!
Nice idea to post the updated SPC info, Strike. I had forgotten to go back and check.
and BEN!!! Did you even hear from the chaser you lost contact with in KY?!?!!! Lets hear more about that!
Strike there was actually 26 NWS offices affected/that issued warnings during this outbreak. Therefore There are atleast 26 assesment teams from those offices out assessing all the damage, but i would assume there are more than 26 assessment teams out, so really because of there divisions i would believe the storm surveys, would be done rather quickly, plus, in determining the strength and damage paths of a storm, they have to be done pretty quick, before clean up begins. So i would expect that a lot of the storm surveys have been completed, or are now, in the analysis stages.
Heidi Miles, is ok, they had to seek shelter in McDonalds freezer, and thats when he called me for updates, as soon as cellphone service was re-established he contacted me to let me know they were OK. I do have one picture from him, that he sent me, I'm pretty sure the picture shows the Vault of the storm.
Also, he was in Mattoon IL, on the book-end storm. I'm yet to pull radar data to plug it in, but i believe that is the storm that produced the Tornado in Elkhart County IN, and also the tornado near Lansing MI. So it was a fairly long track supercell. ONCE AGAIN, I'M NOT SURE IF THAT IS CORRECT, I'M YET TO PULL RADAR DATA, AND PLUG IT IN TO GR3. But from checking out the partial radar loops, i'm about 80percent sure.
Hey guys whats up?
doesn't look as if anything much is going to happen to day, SPC say no svr thunderstorms are predicted right through the day.....
Hey guys... I just got back from the national weather service festival and it was a blast!!!

Oh, right Ben - with all the excitement I for some reason was thinking he was in Kentucky. That must have been pretty wild. And cold. :D
Tim, things have kinda settled down across most of the US. We had some pretty big winds yesterday and today it is still windy, but not so bad. It's warm though. Tomorrow and Monday will probably bring us some rain and thunderstorms, but so far it appears that it will not be severe, because the projected CAPE values are basically non-existent. Maybe something weird will happen and we'll have a surge of moisture before the trough gets here, or there will be some local instability, and something could get going, I imagine. Our chief met. says that after this system is out of the way, next week looks like it's gonna be damp and gloomy ... kind of like Britain, huh?!
In other news, Tim, today is college footballl Saturday in the states. AAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :D
