TornadoVideos.net storm chasers Reed Timmer and Dean Schoeneck ventured to eastern Oklahoma today to photograph the aftermath of the incredible January 12-14 ice storm that dropped 2-3 inches of freezing rain in McIntosh and Haskell Counties, including the town of Eufala. Downed trees, powerlines, and an insane coating of ice were photographed, including several flipped-over vehicles. Check out the video clip and still photographs below. A detailed chase summary will be posted in the chase logs section shortly.

That footage is just insane! I cannot even imagine that kind of damage let alone the cold - the closest i've ever gotten to ice is putting my hand in the freezer. I can't believe the weather extremes that Oklahoma has, Reed! What's with the frozen bushes and stuff - look like ice sculptures - unbelievable for me as i live in the tropics!
Very sad that over 20 lost their lives - a terrible thing. Stay safe Reed and keep up the fantastic work.
Nice footage! I've been following your coverage during the whole ice storm.
Those pictures are amazing!
Looks like another winter storm this weekend. Forecast snow/sleet amounts will undoubtedly change between now and then, but potential for decent accumulations. Hopefully storm will be stronger than predicted!!!! Snow is not a problem :)
Great photos! That is some amazing stuff.
Winter storm watch just issued. I could see 6-10 inches of snow here...maybe more if the WRF model verifies.
6-10 would be spectacular! My only concern is the models not depicting the correct storm track and QPF since this is a cutoff being kicked out. If anything changes I'd like see even more moisture tapped and a bit more cold air depth with the warm nose hanging near the red river. I don't want to get "sleeted" out of heavy snow amounts!
Some great pics there Reed and Dean. Hope you get the snow you want this weekend.
I think the models are just now picking up on the strength of this storm, thus each new run will likely feature progressively stronger and warmer WAA pattern out ahead of it. So I see the NWS moving the heavy snow line further north with each discussion. I think they already know in their gut that the heaviest snow will fall in western thru northern oklahoma while central receives nothing but sleet (again!). They're just covering their ass so the public doesn't freak out with a drastic change of forecast. They oughta be realists and just shove that snow line into northern oklahoma and call it a done deal. My forecast for norman. 1... MAYBE 2 inches of sleet at best.
I HOPE I'M WRONG!
