A major ice storm will slam central OK this weekend as a strong but shallow Arctic air mass and heavy convective precipitation coincide. NWS Norman stated the following in their early morning discussion: "There could be a swath of ice accumulation measured in inches". Right now, it appears that the most significant ice accumulations will occur along and just south of I-44. Stay tuned for more updates.
