An Ice Storm Warning as been issued for southwest and central OK from Friday night through Sunday, for an extended period of potentially heavy freezing rain. The following is a quote from the Norman NWS:
"AN ICE STORM IS EXPECTED TO AFFECT THE AREA...WITH DAMAGING ACCUMULATIONS OF ICE EXPECTED OVER A WIDESPREAD AREA...NOW IS THE TIME TO PREPARE FOR A SIGNIFICANT ICE STORM...INCLUDING THE POSSIBILITY OF EXTENDED POWER OUTAGES."
