10.29.09.supsTornadic supercells are exploding from east Texas into central Arkansas, in association with the dynamic system impacting the central U.S. Tornadoes have been reported in Camden, AR as well as within the Shreveport, LA city limits. Radar presentation suggests that the tornado that went through Shreveport may have been strong to violent, with a massive hook evident on reflectivity and very strong velocity signatures. 10.29.09.shreveport.4.15ref 10.29.09.shreveport.vel
Tornado watches currently extend from eastern Oklahoma southeast to the Gulf Coast of Texas; this is a developing situation, and those in the watch areas should definitely monitor weather conditions closely, as the presence of strong shear over the watch areas raises the likelihood for any tornadoes that do form to be strong. 10.29.09.watches

Also, on the western side of this system, heavy snow continues to pound the high plains into the Rockies! Check out these photos sent to us by Boulder, CO residents Kurt and Carrie Mulder! They received around 18" of snow, but mentioned that the snow compressed/compacted somewhat overnight. mulder1 mulder2

Going to be an interesting day in "Dixie Alley" as second season storms heat up. It would be a good day to chase in MS.

I just worry about where they have the risk at. Looks if the line increases in intensity that it'll hit the more populates area of the state and we'll end up with deaths possibly.

I will be posting damage video and pictures from Bossier later today they took a direct hit from a good sized tornado we where in the middle of a interview with KTBS 3 when they other tornado warning was issued and we where in the path so we moved east on I-20. The city streets where under about 2-3ft of water.

That day would have been a great day to be in Shreveport. I drove through there as it was on the ground. I dont know how long it stayed on the ground but it did a bit of damage. It was intense!
