Oh Joy!! Memphis and my House are right in the middle of the prospective threat area! If I were to chase it, I could, and will- having little choice in the matter- from my chair in front of the TV... So far, there is very little on the radar. May it mostly stay that way, and may any really severe weather happen in the river bottoms where not many folks live.

With the start of the Spring Tornado Season (In January!!) I am wondering if Storm Chasers will be coming back for another season. And hoping they let the tornadoes be the reason for the series rather than squabbles. Oh well. I know. I'm a hopeless glass half-full sort of optimist.

The front has passed through our area. It did have tornadoes associated with it before it crossed the Mississippi River, but none here in Memphis. There was damage, but a real evaluation of that will wait for morning. At my house, we had heavy rain, some lightning, and thunder, which my dog did NOT approve of...

In a nearby suburb, where the Weather Service Offices are, employees there recorded gusts of 65mph- possibly a micro-burst.

I'm including a photo of my dog Penny watching the storm coverage on TV from the safety of Dad's lap.

As the storm moves East, I hope the places that are still short on water get a good rain, but no damage.
