Your Favorite 2010 Storm Photo 2 Years, 5 Months ago Karma: 65
Hey guys! Thought since winter is fast approaching and that SDS cases are getting worse we may as well do a thread where people can put up their favorite photo from the 2010 storm season. Here are the guidelines:
-The photo must be YOUR'S. There is no re-posting of other people's photos.
-Try to keep it to a minimum of 2-3 photos at the most in a post. There's no "well I don't have a favorite one so heres five".
-Give us a description of the photo, like where and when it was taken.
-Finally, do not bash other people's photos or try and put them down. Very few of us are professional photographers.

Enjoy!

I'll post the first one!

This one was actually taken on my Blackberry on my way home from work during the summer. I saw this beautiful summer storm forming and I was in awe of it! I hate the powerlines in there, but it is one of my favorites...

I'll post another on of my favorites later!

I'm going to post this one of mine. This was a storm whilst I was travelling along the M25 here in Britain.

Snapped it and then realised it looks suspiciously like a funnel cloud; However, the funnel was going sideways. So, I flipped the photo in-order to get it up the right way.

See what you think!

The second photo was of a storm back in the summer at my old house that kinda snuck up on me. It came with awesome thunder, which infact made me aware this was just outside my window. As it passed over, there was some ever so slight rotation under the base of the cloud, but heck, this is Britain so nothing happened. BUT we did get hail!

Great photo Jenn! I unfortunately am one of those people who can't pick just one so here are two.

Taken on Ohio 274 near Lewistown, OH on June 26th.

This next one was taken on July 17th.

This is my favorite photo This was taken in Minnesota on June 17th, just minutes before it spawned an EF1 tornado. It had such INSANE motion that I have never seen before. I was standing on the gravel road that leads to my house when the thing went overhead. It was something that I don't want to forget.

This is a really great thread you've started here Bruce. I'll even karma you for it.

There are some amazing pictures here! Keep it up everybody!

I don't even know if I should post these pics, because I bet most people have seen them before. But I guess for those new TVNers, I'll throw them up.

Tough choice, but I'll go with my classics.

I have a couple of runners up, but I don't want to make ol' Brucey mad.

Once again, Sean dominates the threat with his awesome photo skillz.

A thundershower to my south, I just liked the coloring and the doomish look.

And the thunderstorm that I chased in my own back yard

And another shot of that same thunderstorm

*Siiighhh* Where does the convection go? (I know where it went . . . darn southern hemispherians, they get all the storms in our winter!)

Great photos, everyone! Looks like 2010 produced at least a couple of good shots for all of us.

This picture was taken in Johnston County, North Carolina on October 25 in the early afternoon. If I remember correctly, this was a strong thunderstorm associated with a broken squall line. As you can see, it was sporting a nice shelf cloud as it passed over me.
