Do love those lightning shots! Beautiful!

You must still be giddy from the excitement! how did the kids like the crocodile shot?

I did look at the post time and wonder if I was going mad, normally it's me looking and posting on here at silly o'clock in the morning when at work and doing nothing ( like now... )

Nice pics again, and nice to get a good bit of background info on Darwin area too. I suppose you have to weigh up the pros and cons of the beach thing; Darwin, nice warm water to swim in but crocs and jellyfish, here in the UK, no crocs or jellyfish but freeeeeezing ocean!

Right ive had a little rest after my last little photo posting session and will hopefully post some more this evening.

I must say that this frist week back has work has taken it out of me, realy feeling my age....she doesnt mind though....

Anyway enough of that...i think it was mentioned on a previous post on the main thread that i had been interviewed by the NT Newspaper whilst there. Also had a few pics taken as you do !

Well the article has now been published and this link should take you to the page/article.

They do say its easy to get misquoted in the press, and im at a loss as to when i said i used to get lost in clouds as im quoted as saying !
Maybe that was just the impression i gave ??!!
Also not quite true re the Tornado bit.. i hadnt been offered or turned down a trip. I had simply chosen to do Darwin instead of.

Could of been one of those "fuzzy moments"...whadya reckon Wazza

EDIT....oh dear, just had a major " fuzzy moment "
It helps to actually post the link im talking about.....doh !

Hehehe.... love it!

MAJOR fuzzy alert there mate!

And I wasn't going to say anything about the "getting lost in clouds" thing... but now you've mentioned it, found that very funny! That sorta thing happened to me once, (not getting lost in clouds...) I was on TV funnily enough on a program called "Most Haunted Live".

One of the guys in the show was setting up a Live interview with us during the adverts asked me what I were interested in, and I said "Severe Weather". When live on air he said "So you're a Storm Chaser"? I didn't say that to him, I said my "interests" were severe weather.

I have the video of it actually, I may post it up here later in the UK thread.

I love the article in the press though mate, good little read. Love the media interest you had whilst out there, very special indeed.

Yeah no sweat on the photo posting, I can imagine you have so much to go through and it all takes time to put on t'internet. Makes the post last longer anyway.

I promise i will post some more pics this evening.
Had a great chat with Wazza on the phone yesterday then proceeded to sit down to watch tv and.......fell asleep

Still not quite back to speed back here it seems.

And a bit more re the media coverage/newspaper article.
Mike has informed me that someone from Tourism NT has seen the article and now want to do a piece about me as well !!
They have already done an article about Mike which was posted here some months ago but i will locate the post and add it here just in case anyone missed it.

I guess my opinions and views of the NT will certainly look favourable as far as anyone wanting to promote the area.
Well if that is the case then they have asked the right person

All rather exciting.....may have to sample a beer or two

EDIT...did find the NT link that was posted 4 months ago but doesnt appear to work now...sorry
