thought i would get this started after a couple of high wind events already happening.

Fridays convective potential has changed. still convective but more for ireland, wales, west mids, cornwall and east anglia. maybe central england too.

I can't believe no-one was out Surfing or Wind-surfing either St Bees or Ayrshire .. killer waves!

We had maybe 40MPH Gusts at best here .. enough to cause minor damage, certainly nothing to Durhams extent.

I work Every Weekend Night (Fri-Sat) Taaffe. Drawback of being a Club Doorman .. some nice Perks though

They aren't really for Public Discussion .. we have too many Doormen as it is, we don't need more because they read some Other perks!

It's nowhere near as gusty here today .. most people are still sorting out which bins should be where and trying to find their "Plastic Recycling Bag" as they've ALL vanished

friday keeps changing just now. however wales/west mids is looking pretty good! SBCAPE is roughly 400-500j/kg, MLCAPE 125-250j/kg with an LI of -1/-2. Shear looks great there as well just now. DLS being 30-50knots and LLS at 20-25knots. very slight convergence present so with those values i wouldnt be surprised to hear of funnels/weak tornadoes. upper temps at 500hPa are about -20 and EQL is around -30/-40 so pretty good again. Orographic lifting is present on the west coast of wales so this could aid thunderstorm development. small amount of helicity present so if storms do trigger you could see some good structure on them.
