That Low off the North Coast looks to be holding a nice cloud Band over us ..
Cape & Cin ... (I ain't got a clue here) is showing -5 with 2 spots of -25 .. 1 past Denmark and the Other in the North Sea

Typical, its nice and sunny here in Basingstoke, and I've got a 4 hour drive to Wales later on which is going to involve rain...

Sounds like a similar picture to here.. windy and overcast. We're not getting the forecast rain, but it was a bit questionable as to how far East it would come. Winds are still gusting to over 30mph, but not as bad as last night when it sure was howling!

Is anybody else having bother with NW.tv's rain radar? I can't get the radar imagery to come up in either the V4 or V5 screens.

And an aside i guess, did anyone else catch what is those awful Forecasts on Sky News late last night ?
Im sure i heard the guy say " and a chance of funnel clouds and the odd tornado over wales and the west countrty because of wind shear ". As in for today ?????
I hadnt had a drink so im sure he said that ?

That is what the weather presenter on sky news said alright ups! I was a little surprised at the time, but I was at work and caught it on the TV in the staff kitchen and couldn't really follow it up. He seemed to be indicating it would be as a result of the wind sheer across the central parts and wales. Very weird.. maybe he went to a different storming chasing school?

quick we all better gear up and get a wiggle on over to wales would be good if something did happen over hear, in a chasing sense...but because the UK seems to be so densely populated everywhere then can you imagine the distruction if something did happen (as we have seen before)


the weather here in St Neots is pretty nice at the moment, its just become overcast but has been sunny most of the day with the occasional patch of cloud coming accross...the car indicates a nice 17 degrees aswell!! (but its perhaps closer to about 15) nice warmish southerly wind also i think...
