Hello everybody from a little country called Slovenia which is designated between Italy on west side and Austria on north side.
In summer years, we have very interesting storm season, especially because our country is bettwen the alps and adriatic sea, therefore is a lot of energy for massive storms and even Supercells and 2 tornadoes to this date.
Now I have a question.In a link below you can see a video i took last year 3/8/09.And we were chasing this storm aproximately 1km away from where we were with my friends.When we were taking this picture we have noticed that this was not a Supercelluar structure of this storm.So the question is was this funnel or not cause we already had a discussion on our Slovenian weather forum, that this is not a funnel and so on.So i would be very greatfull if anyone would be able to say what this is (maybe a Scud).Thanks again and see ya on live stormchase with Reed and company.

The thing one always needs to ask when trying to distinguish between a lookalike and the real deal is "Is it rotating?"

Well that´s why i was making this timelapse in which i think is rotating, but that's not allways the case i believe.Do you think seeing the video if it's rotating.Well that's why i am aksing, because it's difficult to know since you know that this is not from Supercell, but the shear that day was unbeliveable on all heights.

You can copy/paste the link and it will work. Didn't see any significant rotation with the lowering, so I'm calling it scud.

Ups i am very sorry for that .I didn,t know that the links don't work.As Mark said you just have to copy/paste link and it works.Yes we were dealing with this question is it rotating or it isn't.Well maybe there is realy no rotation but allthough if it is a scud it's long lasting scud if you ask me.Cause this thing was filmed for about 5 min.That's why i was not so convinced that this was a scud since scuds are known to apear and dissapear in matter of seconds or am i wrong.All in all i know that everything that is lowering cannot be a funnel or somethin like that, but this was very interesting cause maybe for a fraction of a second you can see a little of rotation.Well thanks anyway if someone has stil some opinion i will be very gratefull.Again sorry for not workin links, because there are some problems with making links.

In this second video a the beggining you can also see a lowering maybe also a scud but it dissapears in a minute.THis video is summary of all that was happening in that area that day.

It looks like a brief one in the first video I can't discern anything else. Keep on looking and you will find one.
