Not sure what to expect now over the next few days.
12z GFS still showing a snow risk for much of the UK right through into Sat but having just watched BBC weather not really a mention of anything at all. Some isolated areas of snow and still concerns of ice in the North but thats about it.
Looking at GFS im sat here thinking there must be snow ??

Netweather have no watches/alerts issued at all and Meto still have previous watches for the far North up and also a new one for SW Wales and Cornwall for snow on Sunday.

Wait and see...again !

I dunno mate, the BBC South weather last night said that the snow risk was minimal, however the models indicate otherwise. Hmmmmmm......

Anyway, Mike, I can't remember a winter like this, when we have 3 or 4 snowfalls per winter, we usually get only one or perhaps 2 at a push. The Last time I think we had 3 snows was 2003, but it doesn't compete with 2009/2010.

Just saw the 6.30pm weather, and no mention of snow at all, just rain. Also tempertures of 5-7C across the board down South here, but up North, Potential Ice patches.

The only likelihood of snow I can see is down the North Sea coast, but even then there's about a 30% chance...

Yep that just about follows what i saw earlier.
I have no idea what GFS is at then ????
Its been just about constant all week as it is now with snow showing for many.

Edit, just looked at the Precip Type graphics and it mirrors the Snow Risk perfectly...still saying snow !

Well looking at temps showing on GFS its clear why its still saying snow.
Without breaking temps down into regions, as such at midday looking at 2 deg, then 18.00 -1 to -2 and midnight at maybe -3. Quoting figures there that cover the majority of UK.

Thats a considerable difference to what Meto are forecasting

Weather here just reported some warnings for the North East of Scotland and come Friday, snow for me in the west!

I'm sick of walking around like bambi on ice!

Quite a few Watches out for your area right into Sunday.
