I'm a first year graduate student from NC State. I graduated from SUNY Albany last May with my B.S. in Atmospheric Science. Forecasting is my specialty, and I always enjoy a nice, long drive to wherever I need to be to see the storms!

Since I could remember, I've always loved lightning and thunderstorms. I knew from an early age that weather would be my life's passion, and now I'm in the stage of my life where I can get out into the world and go storm chasing! Unfortunately for me, I grew up in Upstate NY, so big storms were hard to come by in the early years.

Now in Raleigh, I hope to get on board the VORTEX2 team alongside Matt Parker, representing NCSU out in the Great Plains for a hopefully-exciting year two of the biggest tornado research project of all time.

I received my Masters in Atm Science from NCSU in '07...you should enjoy the program there. Watch out for Lackmann's classes--they're killer! You will learn a whole lot as well, though, so they're worth the brain pain.

Has Parker taken you on as a grad student? He was my best friend's advisor in his first year at State...she thought he was awesome. Good luck joining the team next year for Year 2 of VORTEX 2
