Thanks, I guess i was simpler than what I was making it out to be!

No problem!

Note that the strongest advection occurs along frontal boundaries. Advection is actually how fronts move. Also note that frontal boundaries are areas of synoptic isentropic lift. Because theta increases with height, if you blow a parcel with high theta into an area with low theta, the parcel is forced to rise to the level where it will have the same theta as when it started out. That would be your WAA lift along a warm front in terms of isentropic analysis.

Not sure if anyone has said this yet but mountains can also help lift exspecially in the far west plains and the SW pains. As a disturbance such a trough or an area of low pressure. Since air always try to get to the center it gets close to the mountains and has no other choice but to go up. This is called upslope. I think the beautiful Campo Colorodo, tornado was an upslope setup. Another source of lift are outflow boundarys outflow is just cold air going out of a thunderstorm most of the time squall lines. Alot of the time outflow is a very very important role in severe weather and forecasting. There are so many things that can lift storms like divergance or an area any where in the jet stream pulls apart. The vacuum thats left pulls the air upward spawning thunderstorms. The lesson is not just fronts can cause lifting!

Yes! Orographic lift is a huge cause of thunderstorm development near the Rockies and in the Appalachian Mountains..
