I know I am new here, so mods I hope it's ok that I post this here. However, I have been developing this and wanted to let other storm chasers, spotters, and weather enthusiast know about it. I made a website that calculates upper air wind speeds. This information calculated via this method, as far as I know, isn't found anywhere else. What do you actually do to calculate upper wind speeds that a radiosonde/dropsonde does not anyway? Do tell!

The link should be fixed, it was with the link not the site. What I have done is make a website that uses overlapping radar information to calculate upper air wind speeds (overlapping radar can allow for the calculation of true wind speeds, not just radial motion). I call it experimental because I'm still working out all the details. For example the wind vectors (via this method) seem to point in the correct direction. However, the magnitude of the vectors seems a little funky. This behavior makes me suspect that this is a result of where the data is being sampled, in convective regions. Anyhow, I don't know of anywhere else this information is regularly calculated so I thought I would share, despite it still being developed. If you have any more questions feel free to ask!

Is there any interest in a 15km map?

It would take a little modifying to get this, hence why I am asking...
