So what's the ride look like at night on the way home? Well driving back from our latest adventure we stopped at this truck stop like store and it was late (or early if you want to be specific) like 2-3 am. We saw these awesome lights and we decided that we needed them. Installed them in 30 mins and the rest of the ride was great. LOL i love them, so cheap and awesome.

Ahhhh the good old Lifepak 10. Many a memory running codes with those and some good burn patterns from not so perfect contact lol

sorry for double post I hit reply not quote and didn't see it at first

I need to do a new video there is so much that has changed but I still carry the Lifepak 10. Burn patterns are much more managable using the defib pads and 20# pressure. The defib pads are a GREAT adjunct for sucking chest wounds as they are mildly adherent and vent themselves before developing a tension pneumo. The old standby petrolium gauze is much cheaper but only good for keeping the foil package moisened with vaseline because the package is much better at sealing the aforementioned sucking chest wound but only if taped on 3 sides.

Yep I was a Medic for 20 years got my start in the USCG and just kept in it for quite a while. Amazing how things changed over that time/ I also did the Volly FF for a few years but went on to a FT Medic job working 911 in a pretty busy area here in the twin Cities and I got tired of the political crap that went along with being a FF/medic so just stayed in EMS for a while until I left a couple of years ago because I got tired of 16hr shifts turning to 20+ almost every time and system status management driving 500 miles sometimes and never getting out of the truck and my body just can't take it at 40 anymore. Its funny how you can do something for years and never hear about such simple things as defib pads for sucking chest wounds, that's a great idea. I always liked the nasal cannula to irrigate eyes w/ saline hands free. When I first started using the 10 I think I burned my 1st 2-3 patients because of a little nervousness inside so every time I see one it brings back memories like doing the Johnny and Roy with the preloaded syringes and seeing all us old school people smile because its one of those things we did back in the day because of the show and so many new medics didn't even know who they were

I just celebrated 31 years in EMS with the last 20 as a medic. Still running calls @ 50 years old but I vowed a decade ago to never do systems status again. That is the secret to my longevity.
