Bingo, Kelton!

And, as I may have mentioned before, even Josh with his DOW doesn't hit 'em all the time. He's gone to the 'wrong' storm plenty himself.
Even VORTEX II collectively blew it more than few times last season.
So, it's all relative, relatively speaking.

Now, where'd Steve go w/that popcorn? I own him an Amateur Chaser Karma.
Ah, well, he's not around, so I'll pop one to Keith instead.
*Poink!*

LOL, KG - a humorous set of answers to explanations. Wouldn't be so much fun to blurt out in conversation...and even confuse yourself....!

"Values correlate with adiabatic/diurnal transportation of winds from the PBL at 500 from 90 and 40kt, enhancing shear vectoring from 276 at 60. Deep layered instability with lapse profiles at the right of at least 30degrees in initial trace, but CIN values need to negate below -19 prior to further lifting of the CAP. AM/T2 thunderstorm maturity with initial congestus moving to calvus. Icing above 300 may seed down steer convection as new CBs are in MC stage. CAPE values of -2400 to sfc will increase and overcome DL inversion as moisture becomes available. Entrainment of structures likely...Vorticity dependent on shear values with the LLJ and position of low currently at 970hpa. Gusts to 90kts possible from moist lowers, but if this changes then severe storms possible if drier in mids"

Raising that wrist - !!!

Amateur!!

I still owe you a karma, Steve. The reason it's taking so long is because those two younger amateurs, NC and Kelton keep impressing me with their astounding storm reports and junk.

Here's to hoping for lower moisture loading and banking on the flanking line. (Ain't gonna happen LLJ from the low is too weak and too far away, and the ice above will further add to the cool pool. So unless this is taking place about 1300 local in late may early june "northern hemisphere mid latitude" we're done here.) Pass the glass! Cheers!

The ice crystals won't add to the cold pool fella...that happens at the surface!!! Your shout...glass is empty.

With advective potential energy at 2400 the ice would be getting pretty heavy don't you think? But with that kind of shear it would probably be getting blown downrange and aggrigating. If you can't float the ice it becomes cool pool. Right?

:::Clink:::Pouring:::

Good call.

Your turn!
