It's so easy to be caught up in the beauty and excitement of a tornado but it's so important, especially for amateur chasers, to know what they could end up involved in. I think it's great to also show that many chasers don't just get a rush out of it and move on (although i'm sure some do) but that TVN and others are willing to switch to rescue mode and really be first on the scene to help people.

Exactly what my Mrs says .. you aren't Her are you ? nah, I ain't that lucky! lol

When it comes to reality checks, I heartily recommend a field trip to Greensburg for anyone is able to do so. The rebuilding is proceeding apace, but there are still lots of empty spaces where buildings used to be. There are also more than a few completely debarked trees that haven't been cut down yet.

I'd love to and to help someone with their rebuild/clearing!

you can see the devastation on google Earth also what's left of Manchester .. very humbling to see even on a computer screen

We all have to remember that this is how Reed is. He may be a storm chaser but the welfare and safety of the people that are affected by the storms he and his crew chase are part of why he chases, to find out better ways to predict these storms. It's great to see that Joel is back and working with the team. The TornadoVideo.net team is the best and most concerned out there. Keep up the good work guys!!! :-)

It is very sad to see how this effected so many lives. I really hope that man at the end lived.. :/

Google maps you now can see the damage in yazoo. Note street view is before the storm satellite is after...
