With very cold air aloft, a band of convection that developed over northern Wisconsin moved rapidly southeastward through western Lower Michigan just before sunset, producing a beautiful gust front/shelf cloud, waterspouts along the Lake Michigan shoreline, and 45 mph winds. Here are some pictures from Grand Rapids, MI as the gust front was moving through:
