Relatively quiet weather conditions are prevalent across the country at this time, and many areas are seeing a slignt warmup after last week's deep freeze. However, the next weather maker is beginning to arrive on the west coast, and it's effects are already being felt in the Pacific northwest, where storm warnings are posted along the Oregon and Washington coastlines. In addition, winter storm warnings are up for a portion of the Cascade range. California will be next up to feel the brunt of this storm. In the higher elevations, snowfall will be measured in feet along the Sierra Nevada range, and we expect to see some pretty impressive rainfall totals all along the coast and in the central valley area. The models are indicating this system will dig fairly far south, and effect Texas later this week... a very typical setup during an El Nino pattern!
