hot_dog_standThe Dominator will begin surging north shortly, heading from New York City toward Boston for the Southern New England Weather Conference which is being held Friday and Saturday. Pictured at right is TVN's own Chris Chittick as he prepares to sample some classic New York street vendor fare before departing the city.

Also, check out the latest DVD trailer. As many of you know, Reed essentially began his extreme storm chasing career on May 3, 1999, as he and his friends (who were all Freshmen at OU) tracked the infamous "Storm A" along Interstate-44. The DVD includes multiple violent tornadoes, including their intense encounter with the Bridge Creek/Moore F-5.

I've actually went to the Southern New England Storm Conference and it was excellent. I did see Reed there, but didn't get a chance to ask questions :(. However, I did get photos in front of "The Dominator" :). At the Storm Conference, they held a TV Panel of Meteorologists and I met some legends like Dick Albert and Al Kaprilean. Some topics that were discussed, were the New Hampshire Tornado of 2008, Waterspouts of New England, Hurricanes hitting Novia Scotia, Global Warming Causes, and Causes and Effect for Airplanes in Snowy Weather. Overall, great conference and looking for some more action on Storm Chasers. :)
