Today kicks off what could be 3-4 straight days of significant severe weather over the central Plains region, with tornadoes and extremely large hail possible in northeast Colorado, southeast Wyoming, western Nebraska and Kansas this afternoon and evening! RUC and NAM analysis indicates that strong helicity and moderate to high instability will combine to give any storms that do fire in the area a heightened potential to produce significant tornadoes - The RUC EHI is out of control!! Click here to learn more about the significance of EHI! http://www.theweatherprediction.com/habyhints/314/

Chasers will be out in force for the duration of this severe weather event, so be sure to follow along by clicking the LIVE VIDEO tab! People in the central Plains should definitely take all necessary severe weather precautions this weekend! Stay tuned for updates!

Well, it was definitely an interesting night!! Had 4 people and a coon dog in my S-10 sitting on the edge of the storm outside of Sutherland, NE. I will have to go out during the daylight and see if there was any damage up north of us were the actual tornados were reported on the ground.

I wonder what the next few days are going to bring this Nebraska spotter....

From what I've seen (which is little in the past week..) things have been quite active. The SRV/TRV had some adjustments by the looks of things and I would think Reed would be in the thick of things once again.

Yeah, yesterday ended up amazing too, a GLSC Chaser, Brady Kendrick, dopplerb here on TVN witnessed a STOVEPIPE tornado yesterday, he is trying to upload the pics, but they aren't working, he got one of the damage afterwards though, so good luck Reed and TVN Team. -Brandon

I'm heading up to nebraska. I talked to my mom in Geneva and they had golfball-sized hail friday night. I'm giving up on kansas, and I'm going north to my old stomping grounds. I read a report-east of hwy 81 is supposed to be very active this afternoon and tonight. I'm gonna go pick up my brother, couple cases of beer, and see what happens. If we don't catch any tornadoes, at least i'll catch a buzz, and a hangover tomorrow.
