TVN captured this AMAZING footage of two photogenic tornadoes in western Oklahoma yesterday afternoon. The first tornado began as a beautiful elephant trunk similar to the famous Mulvane, KS tornado from 2004, and eerily reminiscent of the Ellis County, OK tornado from May 4, 2007. The tornado crossed the road only 50 YARDS in front of the SRV!! It then lifted, only to re-form into a much larger tornado that was at times close to a quarter-mile wide.
Multiple teams of chasers were in the area yesterday, including Dick McGowan of TornadoLive, who got this outstanding photo. Check out more of Dick's work at his blog http://stackedplates.blogspot.com/
