dom-3-wingsLast week, TVN unveiled the latest edition to its storm chasing fleet: Dominator 3. D-3 will be piloted by TVN storm chaser Sean Schofer, and with severe weather on the slate this week, the crew will be back out in the field again, shaking off whatever rust remains from this relatively slow severe weather season, and reporting live to Oklahoma's KFOR-TV and (You can follow along with the chase live here.) Also, watch for Sean and Reed chasing with Jim Cantore this week on TWC's Tornado Hunt. A more substantial severe weather threat exists today for parts of Kansas, western Oklahoma and north Texas, so as always, those in the risk areas are encouraged to remain alert for watches and warnings throughout the afternoon and into the evening.  Below is the latest video showing the Dominator fleet, along with KFOR's Chopper4.

Good deal, you went with a Ford. Hopefully you got that 350 with twin turbos..

I'm very impressed with the look of D3 - by far the best of the 3. As for Jim Cantore chasing with Reed, they've been hoping to do that for some time now. I'm glad things have finally worked out.

Wow - looks spectacular! :-)

But... :-* Will he join the two previous "D's" in the colour? I'd like it much more than the all black...

I think the plan is for it to stay all black, since the various TVN logos have already been painted along the sides.

I would love to see a video that details the specs of Dominator 3. One that would also give a tour inside and outside. Is there one?

I'm reminded of the AC-DC song 'Back In Black" when I see the head-on pic of D-3 and the optional wings deployed! D-3 has a distinctive look all of its own, and it fits in very nicely with D-1 and D-2. This is what you really call a "tag team effort" here.....I LIKE It!!!

I guess I need to devise some ailerons for D-3, and I'll come up with a tail section and elevator panels and a rudder too, and for good measure I'll include some anti-sail airflow lift spoiler slats that will pop up in various locations as the wind direction changes. I wonder what Reed will think when I ask him to leave the hood off of D-2 so the air injector hat and intake butterflys can sit up above his new CH3NO2-burning 492 cube Hemi powerplant??? (for those non-drag racing fans, that's Nitromethane, to save you some research trouble). Nitro and doesn't get any better than those two!....they both equal raw horsepower unleashed.
