Above is the first in a series of videos that will illustrate the process of making Dominator 2 a reality!  We anticipate that the new Dominator will be ready for action at around the beginning of May, and that should be perfect timing, as the long-range models are not looking very favorable for significant severe weather for the foreseeable future. The return of deep moisture to the Plains from the Gulf of Mexico has been insignificant to this point, which isn't altogether unusual for mid-March. However, when combined with very warm temperatures in the lower and middle levels of the atmosphere, along with a substantial blocking pattern possibly on the horizon, the resulting situation will be one that will limit severe weather potential for the next several weeks. The next two days could see some thunderstorm activity over the middle of the country, from Iowa and Illinois to the Ohio and Tennessee Valley region, but again, the ingredients for widespread significant severe weather do not appear to be coming together. We'll keep you posted on longer-range forecast developments, as well as news from the Dominator build over the coming days and weeks!
