Severe weather looks like a good possibility tomorrow over parts of Oklahoma, Kansas and Missouri, as well as thestate of Arkansas. A rather large trough will beimpacting the region, and ahead of it,ample moisture is projected to reach into west-central Missouri with the help of strong southeasterly surface winds concentrated around a surface low that is expected to take shape on the KS/MO border tomorrow afternoon.Instability is expected to build ahead of the trough, with CAPE in excess of 1,000 J/kg expected as far north as the Kansas City area. Strong shear will be in place, so rotating thunderstorms capable of tornadoes will be possible tomorrow afternoon into early Thursday.
