A potentially damaging ice storm is underway across extreme southeast AR, northeast LA, and central MS, as a shield of moderate freezing rain and sleet is moving through the area. Of greater concern is an area of heavier precipitation further west into northeast TX. As this area of heavier precipitation moves over the shallow, sub-freezing airmass at the surface across the ice storm warning area, significant ice accumulations are possible.
