mike_theissPlease help our friend and storm chaser Mike Theiss go to Antarctica!  Mike is a long-time chase partner of Jim Leonard and Jim Reed, and is most well-known for his incredible hurricane videos.  His Katrina footage is some of the best extreme weather videography I have ever seen, as he and Jim Reed road out the storm in a parking garage on the beach in Biloxi, MS.  Quark Expeditions is offering a trip to Antarctica for an "adventurous person", and I can't think of any better candidate than Mike.  Let it happen and vote for him http://www.helpmikewin.com...We'll all enjoy all the amazing photos when Mike gets back!

Okay. I've emailed the link hither and yon, inlcluding the instructions on how to register and vote, etc.

Didn't really need to post that, but I wanted to send this to the top of the totum pole again. hehe

hey guys i just sa that Mike's votes was 1126, that not enove jet. How can we inprove that?

Spread the word people. I've been flogging the votes with all and sundry. Mike has been an integral part of storm chasing and he would be a more than worthy candidate to go to the Antarctic - it would be a sin not to send him!
